Yes. This is one of the ultimate ends as a New Testament Believer, more in alignment with the role of Barnabas, the "Son of Encouragement," Acts 4:36, and The Holy Spirit, The Helper (Advocate, Comforter, Paraclete, Teacher).

"But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort," 1 Cor 14:3.

Prophecy is intended for the edification, encouragement, and comfort of the church. It is not for self-promotion or causing division. It is not a platform for reinforcing the "chip on one's shoulder" because one warned the congregation like a mad person filled with spiritual pride.

This person's spiritual pride is so "in the way" of the actual way of the word of God that the congregation can't hear their noisy, gong-like messages. The result is they now want to see their role not as "an encourager," or "prayer leader," but rather form their identity as a rejected self-appointed "prophet of judgement," whose lack of preparation resembles "Ephraim, a half-baked cake," Hos 7:8, whose ministry is ultimately ineffective and insincere.

May God call, refine, and then commission true "encouragers" who can actually give some advice that will actually profit the Body of Christ rather than alienate themselves on purpose. Thank you for your encouragement, I believe it was needed to help bring clarity on what and how the prophetic ministry is intended to function in this time after the Holy Spirit has been sent from The Father and The Son upon the church since the day of Pentecost in Acts 2.

Edification
The Greek word for edification, "oikodom," implies building up. Prophecy should strengthen the faith and spiritual maturity of the church community.

Encouragement
Prophecy should provide encouragement, offering hope and motivation to persevere in faith. It should uplift and inspire believers to live out their faith boldly.

Comfort
The comfort provided through prophecy should bring peace and reassurance, especially in times of trial or uncertainty, reflecting God's care and presence.

Orderly Worship
Paul emphasizes the importance of orderly worship, where spiritual gifts, including prophecy, are exercised in a manner that benefits the entire congregation.

Prophecy -- building up, stirring up, cheering up, as each required.

Commentary
Verse 3. - To edification, and exhortation, and comfort. The words build up the Christian soul, by rousing its efforts and consoling its sorrows. The "Son of prophecy" (Barnabas) is "a Son of consolation" (Acts 4:36). "Support" (paraklesis) involves "comfort," i.e. strength and calm.

Final Thought
Obviously "all Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction and training in righteousness," 2 Tim 3:16, but we must remember correction is administered in the similitude of removing a speck of dirt from another's eye, a cautious and intricate maneuver, and one that involves both a degree of compassion and mutual trust...
