Today we travel to the country of South Africa, where we’ve recently gotten word from a Thru the Bible listener whose joys and struggles in his faith sound very similar to our own.

He writes:

“I thank God who saved me at my young age; I was only 19 years old. Now I am a married man and employed in Pretoria. To tell you the truth, this place is full of temptations, especially for one as me who is so far away from my family. Through your programmes I am getting stronger and stronger in my faith and can choose correctly away from temptations.â€

Today let’s pray for Christians in South Africa, and around the world, who want to live lives that are pleasing to God. Let’s surrender our will to Him and ask Him to guard our hearts and lives in Christ Jesus.

Tomorrow we travel to Ethiopia.
