NEWHOPE
Beloved of All
August 12, 2014
Today we travel to the island of Singapore, both a city and a country – and home to more than five million people.
It’s only been fifty years since Singapore has been an independent country, but in that time evangelical Christianity has flourished. One out of 13 people testify that they faithfully follow Jesus Christ.
But like in other modern, urban populations, Singapore’s Christian families are struggling. A majority find it hard to balance work with family and church life. Many couples in Singapore are choosing not to have a family in order to pursue their careers.
Pray today for Singapore’s Christian families. Ask God to give wisdom to know how to create healthy balance in priorities and to choose to raise godly children. Pray that we all focus on what really matters.
Join us tomorrow in our prayer journey to Thailand.
