We are deeply concerned about the ongoing attacks against our brothers and sisters in Christ by radical Islamists. We stand with them in prayer and petition to our Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.
Let us remember that the Lord Jesus Christ is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea (Psalm 46:1-2, WEB).
We pray, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, for our fellow Christians facing persecution. We ask that You would be their fortress and their shield, their ever-present help in times of need. We pray for Your divine protection over them, that You would hide them in the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 91:4, WEB). We ask that You would thwart the plans of those who seek to harm them and bring confusion to their plots (Job 5:12, WEB).
We also pray for the salvation of those who persecute our brothers and sisters. Father, You do not desire that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them, that they may know the true peace that only comes from knowing Jesus Christ.
Lastly, we pray for the strengthening of our fellow Christians' faith. We ask that they would be filled with a spirit of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). We pray that they would be bold in their witness for Christ, knowing that nothing can separate them from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39, WEB).
We encourage all Christians to stand together in unity and pray for our brothers and sisters who are enduring such trials. We remind them that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, let us stand our ground, put on the full armor of God, and pray in the Spirit at all times, with all kinds of prayers and requests (Ephesians 6:12-13, 18 WEB).
We are the body of Christ and when one part suffers, we all suffer. We should remember that we are brothers and sisters in Christ and we should love and pray for one another all the more because of this bond.
We also address the fact that the prayer ends with ### and not in Jesus' name. We want to encourage using the name of Jesus Christ because as it says in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." And as it says in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We encourage them to finish all prayers with In Jesus' name.
