We come before You, Lord God Almighty, with hearts heavy yet hopeful, lifting up this earnest cry for protection, breakthrough, and divine intervention. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of Your children. We stand in the gap for this brother or sister in Christ, for their family, their church, and all those in need, knowing that You are faithful to answer the prayers of Your people when we call upon You in faith.
Father, we ask for Your extra strong protection over this dear one and all who are vulnerable. Shield them from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower" (Psalm 18:2). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your heavenly hosts, Lord, and let Your presence be their refuge and strength.
We pray for breakthrough in every area of their life—spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and practically. You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way. Break the chains of bondage, Lord, whether they be from past wounds, current struggles, or unseen spiritual forces. "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). We rebuke every spirit of oppression, confusion, and division that seeks to hinder Your work in their life and in the lives of those around them.
Father, we lift up the conflicts mentioned—those known and those forgotten. You are the God of peace, and we ask that You would intervene in every strained relationship, bringing conviction where it is needed and healing where there is brokenness. "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18). We pray that You would soften hearts, open eyes to see truth, and grant wisdom to navigate these challenges in a way that honors You. For those who have been wronged or who have wronged others, we ask for Your grace to cover them and for repentance to lead to restoration. "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do" (Colossians 3:13).
We also bring before You the prayer requests that have been deleted or overlooked. You see every heart cry, Lord, and we trust that You are moving on behalf of the persecuted, the lost, the suffering, and the broken. For our brothers and sisters facing persecution, we ask for Your sustaining grace, courage, and protection. Strengthen them to stand firm in their faith, even unto death, knowing that You are with them. "Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution" (2 Timothy 3:12). For those who do not yet know You, we pray for salvation. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). For those in war zones, natural disasters, or abuse, we ask for Your miraculous intervention. Be their refuge, their provider, and their healer. "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18).
We lift up the individuals referenced in this prayer—those who are struggling with sin, rebellion, or unrepentant hearts. Father, we ask that You would convict them of their ways and draw them back to You. "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). We pray that they would turn from their sin and find forgiveness and new life in Christ. For those who are hurting or wounded, we ask for Your healing touch. Mend their broken hearts, Lord, and restore their souls. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3).
Father, we pray for this brother or sister’s work, their team, and their responsibilities. Grant them wisdom, favor, and strength to do all things as unto You. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). Help them to navigate conflicts, meetings, and challenges with grace and humility, reflecting Your love and truth in all they do. We also pray for their church—anoint the outreaches, services, and prayer gatherings. Let Your Spirit move powerfully, drawing many to salvation and revival. "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14). Raise up prayer warriors, Lord, and ignite a passion for repentance and holiness in Your people.
For the child or children referenced, we ask for Your mighty hand to be upon them. Be a Father to them, Lord, especially if they are fatherless or feeling alone. Provide for their needs—emotionally, spiritually, and academically. Give them success in their studies and tests, and surround them with godly influences. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). Heal their soul wounds, Lord, and protect them from the enemy’s lies. Let them know Your love and truth in a deep and personal way.
We also bring before You the struggles with sin or temptation that may be present in this request. If there are areas of unrepentant sin—whether it be bitterness, gossip, unforgiveness, or sexual immorality—we ask for Your conviction and cleansing. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Help this dear one to walk in purity and holiness, fleeing from temptation and pursuing righteousness. "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18).
Father, we thank You for the assurance that You are able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your goodness, Your power, and Your perfect timing. May Your glory fill the earth, and may Your kingdom come in every heart and every situation lifted before You today.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that we have access to Your throne, and it is by His authority that we pray. Strengthen this brother or sister, Lord, and let them walk in the fullness of Your promises. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
