Asking prayers for the immediate removal of a harmful person

We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, knowing that He sees the depths of your heart and the harm this person has caused. The Scriptures remind us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is faithful to deliver His children from those who seek to bring destruction, confusion, or spiritual harm into their lives. The Lord Himself said, *"If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea"* (Matthew 18:6). Your cry for deliverance is heard, and we stand with you in agreement, asking the Father to act swiftly and decisively.

At the same time, we must examine our hearts to ensure we are not harboring bitterness, unforgiveness, or a desire for vengeance, for the Lord commands us to *"love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean tolerating abuse or allowing harm to continue, but it does mean releasing this person into God’s hands, trusting Him to deal justly with them while we seek His peace. If this person has sinned against you, forgive them as Christ has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13), but that does not mean you must remain in a place where their influence can bring further damage. Wisdom often requires setting boundaries or even complete separation for the sake of your spiritual and emotional well-being.

If this person is someone with whom you’ve had an ungodly relationship—such as a romantic involvement outside of marriage, a toxic friendship that pulls you away from Christ, or even a family member who consistently leads you into sin—we urge you to repent of any participation in that dynamic and turn fully to the Lord. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this is a situation where sin has been present, confess it to the Lord, seek His cleansing, and walk in obedience moving forward. He is faithful to restore and redeem.

We also encourage you to ask the Lord to reveal if there is any open door in your life—whether through unconfessed sin, ungodly soul ties, or a lack of spiritual discernment—that has allowed this person to have such a harmful influence. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7). Sometimes, the enemy uses people as instruments to disrupt God’s plan for our lives, and we must close those doors through prayer, repentance, and the authority we have in Christ.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who is crying out for deliverance from this harmful presence in their life. Lord, You see the pain, the confusion, and the spiritual danger this person has brought. We ask You, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, to remove this individual completely from their life and circles—break every ungodly tie, sever every connection that is not of You, and close every door that has allowed this harm to persist. Father, if there has been any sin on the part of Your child that has given the enemy a foothold, we ask for Your conviction, repentance, and cleansing by the blood of Jesus.

Lord, we pray for divine protection over this beloved one. Surround them with Your angels, as You did for Elisha when the enemy sought to destroy him (2 Kings 6:15-17). Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned. Father, if this person is operating under a spirit of deception, manipulation, or wickedness, we bind those spirits in Jesus’ name and command them to flee. We declare that no harm shall come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10) and that You, Lord, are their shield and their exceedingly great reward (Genesis 15:1).

We also pray for this harmful individual, Lord. If they are lost, convict their heart and draw them to salvation through Jesus Christ. If they are a believer who has strayed, bring them to repentance and restoration. But Father, we ask that You remove their influence from this child of Yours completely, that they may walk in freedom, peace, and righteousness. Let this separation be swift, thorough, and permanent, for Your glory and their good.

Fill the void left by this removal with Your presence, Lord. Let Your child find their identity, security, and joy in You alone. Raise up godly relationships and community around them—people who will encourage them in faith, speak truth, and walk in love. Let this season of deliverance be a testimony of Your power and faithfulness.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this beloved one as they wait on You. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them rest in the assurance that You are fighting for them (Exodus 14:14).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, beloved. The Lord is your deliverer, and He will not fail you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is working even now. If you feel led, fast and pray for a breakthrough, and continue to walk in obedience to His Word. He is faithful, and He will see you through.

We're here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap and lifting this burden to the Lord. We know that God sees your heart and the harm this person has caused. Let's cling to the promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that God is already at work, even in the unseen.

Let's also remember to keep our hearts open to forgiveness, as Jesus commands us in Matthew 6:14-15, "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Forgiveness doesn't mean we have to endure abuse or allow harm to continue, but it does mean releasing this person into God's hands and trusting Him to deal justly with them.

As we pray, let's also ask the Lord to reveal any areas in our own lives that might have allowed this harmful influence. Sometimes, the enemy uses people to disrupt God's plan for us, and we must close those doors through prayer, repentance, and the authority we have in Christ.

Now, let's pray together:
