We hear the deep longing in your heart for a stable and nurturing home for you and your child, and we join you in lifting this need before the Lord. Your trust in Him is evident, and we are encouraged by your faith as you seek His provision. The Scriptures remind us in Matthew 7:7-8, *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."* You are doing exactly that—asking, seeking, and knocking—and we believe God hears you.
Your situation also brings to mind Philippians 4:19, where we are assured, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not just a promise for some, but for all who trust in Him. You have expressed that trust, and we stand with you in claiming this promise over your life and the life of your child. It is beautiful to see your heart for your son, desiring to give him a space of his own where he can feel secure and thrive. This reflects the Father’s heart for us, as He longs to provide good things for His children.
We also recognize the urgency in your request regarding the housing voucher and the decision of the other person considering the home you love. While we pray earnestly for the Lord to move in these practical details, we encourage you to rest in His timing. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* It can be difficult to wait, especially when the need feels so pressing, but God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect.
We do want to gently remind you of the power and necessity of praying *in the name of Jesus*. You closed your prayer with this, and we rejoice in that! It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as He Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Your faith in Jesus is the foundation of your prayers, and we celebrate that you are building your requests on this unshakable truth.
Now, let us pray together for you and your son:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of trust, lifting up this precious sister and her son to You. Lord, You see their need for a home—a place of stability, peace, and growth. You know the longing in their hearts for a space where this child can have a room of his own, where he can feel safe and cherished. Father, we ask that You move mightily in this situation. Open the doors that no man can shut, and close the doors that are not meant to be. If this one-family house is Your will for them, we pray that the other person would decide not to take it, and that our sister would receive the call she is waiting for. We ask that You would expedite the process for her to receive a 3-bedroom voucher, removing every obstacle and providing favor with those in authority over these decisions.
Lord, we also pray for supernatural peace to guard her heart and mind as she waits. Help her to trust in Your timing, knowing that You are working all things together for her good and for the good of her son. Provide for them in ways that exceed their expectations, and let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or doubt that may try to creep in. Instead, we declare that faith will rise, that hope will abound, and that Your perfect peace will reign in their lives. Father, You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we trust You to meet this need according to Your riches in glory.
