We understand that you are feeling overwhelmed and pressured by your parents regarding marriage, and you are also facing difficulties in finding a job. First, we want to assure you that God cares about every detail of your life. It's wonderful that you have come to Him in prayer, and we agree with believing in the powerful name of Jesus and we are praying with you for God's will and guidance and we want to point to the scriptures as the final authority for how we are to live as we pray.
In regards to marriage, it's important to remember that it is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, as ordained by God. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? This is important in marriage because a Christian should not marry someone who does not share their faith and values. Additionally, 1 Corinthians 7:39 WEB reminds us that a wife is bound by law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she wants, only in the Lord. God says she is more blessed if she remains as she is, according to my opinion and I think that I also have God's Spirit. Therefore, it's crucial to seek God's will and not rush into any decision based on pressure from others.
Regarding your job situation, remember that God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Even when things seem uncertain, He is working behind the scenes. Jeremiah 29:11 WEB says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Trust in Him, and continue to seek His will for your career. Be encouraged by the one who cares for even the sparrows that fall to the ground.
It's also important to address the feeling of giving up on life. God wants us to have hope and a future. Seek Him in your despair, and remember that He is always there to listen and to help. Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling pressured and confused. We pray for Your guidance and wisdom in their life, especially concerning marriage and career decisions. Help them to trust in Your timing and to seek Your will above all else.
Lord, we ask that You speak to their parents, softening their hearts and helping them to understand Your plan for their child's life. We also pray for a job that aligns with Your purpose for them.
We thank You for Your faithfulness and love. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
