Asking for prayers for the removal of a harmful person

We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, trusting that He hears and acts on behalf of His children when we call upon Him in faith. It is clear you are seeking deliverance from a harmful influence, and we stand with you in this, knowing that God is a refuge and a strong tower against the schemes of the enemy. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:17, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles."* You are not alone in this—God sees the harm being done, and He is faithful to intervene when we seek His will above our own.

At the same time, we must examine our hearts to ensure we are not harboring bitterness, unforgiveness, or a desire for vengeance, for the Lord calls us to love even our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). While we ask for removal, we also pray that this person would encounter the convicting power of the Holy Spirit, that they may repent and turn to Christ. Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12), so we must cover this situation in prayer, trusting God’s timing and methods rather than our own.

If this person is causing you to stumble spiritually—whether through temptation, deception, or leading you away from godly principles—then we must also pray for your strength to resist and flee from such influences. 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil company corrupts good morals.’"* Sometimes, the Lord calls us to set boundaries or even walk away from relationships that hinder our walk with Him. If this is the case, we pray for wisdom and courage to obey, even if it is difficult.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister/brother who is seeking Your divine intervention. Lord, You know the heart of this person who has caused harm, and You see the pain and distress they have brought. We ask, Father, that You remove this harmful influence from their life—whether by changing the person’s heart, redirecting their paths, or closing doors that should not remain open. Lord, if this relationship is not of You, sever it completely, and guard our sister/brother from further harm.

At the same time, Father, we pray for the soul of this person. If they do not know You, convict them by Your Spirit and draw them to repentance. If they are a believer who has strayed, restore them to fellowship with You. Break every chain of sin, deception, or malice that may be binding them. Let Your will be done in this situation, not ours, for Your ways are higher and Your plans are perfect.

Strengthen our sister/brother with Your peace and discernment. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, releasing any bitterness or resentment. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom and avoid every snare of the enemy. Surround them with godly counsel and relationships that build them up in faith.

We declare Your protection over them, Lord. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Hide them under the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 91:4) and let Your light expose and dispel every darkness. We trust in Your timing and Your justice, knowing that You will act for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28).

In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter. Spend time in His Word, especially passages that speak of His protection and deliverance (such as Psalm 91, Psalm 23, and Ephesians 6:10-18). Fast and pray if led, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. If this person is tied to you through ungodly soul ties—such as past sinful relationships—renounce those ties in prayer and ask the Lord to break them by the blood of Jesus. Stay rooted in a community of believers who can support and pray with you.

If there is more to this situation that you haven’t shared—such as sin that needs to be confessed or boundaries that need to be set—we urge you to bring it before the Lord honestly. He is faithful to forgive and cleanse us when we repent (1 John 1:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and do not lose heart. He is with you, and He will see you through.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
