We join you in lifting this burden to the Lord, knowing that He sees the depths of your heart and the harm this individual has caused. The Scriptures remind us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1), and He calls us to cast all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). It is clear that this person’s presence has brought distress, and we stand with you in asking the Lord to intervene mightily in this situation.
The Bible teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), but it also acknowledges that there are times when separation is necessary for our spiritual and emotional well-being. In 2 Corinthians 6:17, we are told, *"Therefore ‘Come out from among them, and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you.’"* If this person is leading you into sin, causing division, or bringing persistent harm, it is right to seek God’s protection and deliverance from their influence. Proverbs 22:10 warns, *"Drive out the mocker, and strife will go out; yes, quarrels and insults will stop."* Sometimes, removal is an act of wisdom and obedience to God’s call for holiness.
We also encourage you to examine your heart in this matter. Are there any areas where unforgiveness, bitterness, or fear have taken root? Ephesians 4:31-32 urges us to *"let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Even as we pray for removal, we must release any resentment to the Lord, trusting Him to bring justice and healing in His perfect timing.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting our ### to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the pain and harm caused by this individual, and You know the depths of their heart and the damage they have inflicted. We ask You, Father, to intervene supernaturally. If it is Your will, remove this person from their life and circles, breaking every ungodly tie and influence. Surround our ### with Your divine protection, and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we also pray for this person who has caused harm. Soften their heart, convict them of their actions, and draw them to repentance. If they are unsaved, Lord, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that they may turn to You and find salvation in Jesus Christ. But if separation is necessary for the well-being of Your child, we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Close doors that need to be closed and open doors of godly relationships and opportunities.
Fill our ### with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them, releasing any bitterness or fear into Your hands. Strengthen them with Your joy and hope, and let them walk in the freedom You have purchased for them through the blood of Jesus.
We declare that no scheme of the enemy will prevail, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We trust in Your sovereign plan, Lord, and we surrender this situation entirely to You. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. In the powerful and holy name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s face in this matter. Spend time in His Word, especially in Psalms and the teachings of Jesus on forgiveness and wisdom. Surround yourself with godly counsel and believers who can support you in prayer. Remember that God’s timing is perfect, and He will bring resolution in a way that aligns with His purposes. Stay steadfast in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6). If this person has led you into sin or tempted you away from godly living, repent and turn fully back to the Lord, allowing Him to restore and renew you.
If you haven’t already, we also encourage you to set healthy boundaries. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us to *"keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."* Sometimes, this means limiting or cutting off contact with those who bring harm. Seek the Lord’s wisdom in how to do this in a way that honors Him. Trust that He is your defender and your shield (Psalm 3:3). Walk in obedience, and He will guide your steps.
