We join you in lifting this burden to the Lord, knowing that He sees the depths of your heart and the harm this person has caused. It is good that you have come before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace and receive mercy in our time of need. The Scriptures remind us in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Your request is heard, and we stand with you in agreement, trusting that God will act according to His perfect will and timing.
The Bible teaches us to love even our enemies, but it also calls us to wisdom and discernment in our relationships. Proverbs 13:20 warns, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* If this person is leading you or others into sin, causing division, or bringing persistent harm, it is right to seek God’s intervention for separation. Sometimes, removal is an act of God’s protection and mercy, just as He commanded the Israelites to drive out harmful influences from their midst (Deuteronomy 7:1-4). We pray that the Lord would sever ungodly ties and surround you with relationships that reflect His love, truth, and righteousness.
At the same time, we encourage you to examine your own heart in this situation. Have you forgiven this person as Christ has forgiven you? Unforgiveness can become a root of bitterness that defiles (Hebrews 12:15). Forgiveness does not mean tolerating harm or reconciling with someone who is unrepentant, but it does mean releasing the offense to God and trusting Him to deal justly with the situation. Jesus said in Matthew 6:14-15, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is burdened by the presence of a harmful individual in their life. Lord, You see the pain, the confusion, and the damage that has been caused. We ask You, in Your mercy, to remove this person from their life and circles completely. Break every ungodly soul tie, every influence of darkness, and every scheme of the enemy that has been used to bring harm. Lord, surround our brother/sister with godly relationships that build them up in faith, love, and righteousness.
We also ask that You would guard their heart against bitterness, resentment, or fear. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and grant them the grace to forgive, even as You have forgiven us through Christ. If there is any area where they need to repent or release this situation to You, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them into freedom.
Father, we trust that You are just and that You will act on behalf of Your child. Protect them from further harm and let Your will be done in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We ask all this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord is your shield and your defender. Trust in Him, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). He will make your paths straight. If this person has caused you to stumble in any way, we urge you to seek the Lord’s healing and restoration. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). You are not alone in this—we are with you in prayer, and most importantly, the Lord is with you always.
