We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, knowing that He sees the depths of your heart and the harm this individual has caused. The Scriptures remind us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He calls us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7), and we are confident that He hears your cry for deliverance.
The Bible also teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), but this does not mean we must endure harmful or toxic relationships indefinitely. There is wisdom in setting boundaries, especially when someone’s influence is destructive to your spiritual, emotional, or physical well-being. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, *"Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."* If this person is leading you or others into sin, causing division, or bringing consistent harm, it is right to seek God’s intervention for their removal from your life.
At the same time, we must examine our own hearts. Are there areas where unforgiveness, bitterness, or fear have taken root? Jesus tells us in Mark 11:25, *"Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions."* We encourage you to release any resentment to the Lord, trusting Him to handle this situation justly. His ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister/brother who is burdened by the presence of a harmful individual in their life. Lord, You see the pain, the struggle, and the damage caused, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Remove this person from their circles, Lord, in a way that brings glory to Your name and protection to Your child. Break every ungodly tie, every influence of darkness, and every scheme of the enemy that seeks to harm or hinder Your purpose in their life.
Father, we also ask that You soften the heart of this individual. If they are acting out of ignorance, rebellion, or their own brokenness, we pray for their repentance and salvation. Do not let bitterness or hatred take root in our sister’s/brother’s heart, but fill them with Your peace and assurance that You are fighting this battle for them. Surround them with godly relationships that encourage, uplift, and point them to You.
Lord, we declare Your protection over every area of their life—spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. Let Your light expose and dispel every dark influence, and let Your truth be their shield and strength. We trust in Your promise that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we thank You for the victory that is already won through Christ Jesus.
May Your will be done, Lord, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. We pray all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, beloved. The Lord is your defender, and He will not abandon you. Trust in Him, even when the answer tarries, for His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). If this person’s removal is His will, He will make a way. If there is a lesson or refinement He is working in you through this trial, lean into Him and allow His Spirit to guide you. You are not alone—we are standing with you in prayer.
