We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, knowing that He hears the cries of His children and acts on their behalf. It is clear you are seeking deliverance from a harmful influence, and we stand with you in this, for Scripture assures us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). The Lord is faithful to deliver His people from those who seek to harm them, just as He did for David when he cried out, *"Deliver me from my enemies, Yahweh. I flee to you to hide me"* (Psalm 143:9).
Yet, as we pray for this person to be removed from your life, we also encourage you to examine your heart and circumstances through the lens of Scripture. Are there boundaries you need to establish in obedience to God’s Word? Ephesians 5:11 commands us, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* Sometimes, the Lord calls us to take action—whether through wise decisions, confrontation in love, or even stepping away from toxic relationships—while trusting Him to orchestrate the removal. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, *"Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."*
We also urge you to pray not only for removal but for the salvation and repentance of this individual, if they do not know Christ. Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12), and the greatest victory is seeing an enemy of God become a brother or sister in Christ. As Jesus taught, *"Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean tolerating abuse or harm, but it does mean releasing bitterness and trusting God’s justice.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who is seeking deliverance from a harmful presence in their life. Lord, You see the heart of this person who has caused pain, and You know the depths of the struggle. We ask You, by Your power, to remove this individual from our ###'s life and circles, breaking every ungodly tie and influence. Surround them with Your divine protection, Lord, and place a hedge of thorns around any path that would lead this harmful person back into their life.
But Father, we also pray for this person’s soul. If they do not know You, soften their heart to receive Your truth. Convict them of their actions and lead them to repentance. Let no root of bitterness grow in our ###'s heart, but fill them with Your peace and assurance that You are fighting this battle for them. Give them wisdom to know when to speak, when to act, and when to remain silent, all while trusting in Your perfect timing.
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to bring confusion, fear, or further harm. Let Your light expose every dark intention, and let Your will prevail. Strengthen our ### with Your Word, reminding them that *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17).
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and rest in Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our ###'s heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord is your defender, and He will not allow the enemy to triumph. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and remember that *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles"* (Psalm 34:17). If this person has been a stumbling block in your walk with Christ, use this season to draw closer to Him. Seek godly counsel and surround yourself with believers who can support and encourage you. You are not alone in this—we are standing with you, and most importantly, the Lord is with you.
