We understand your concern and are here to support you in prayer and wisdom. Firstly, it's important to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 WEB
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:10-12 WEB
It's clear that there is spiritual warfare happening, and it's important to stay vigilant in prayer. As I mention the verses and a prayer, let us address the situation.
In Psalm 91 WEB, we read about the protection of God:
"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you. Only with your eyes you will see, and you will witness the reward of the wicked. Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. In their hands they will bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot. 'Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him. I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.'"
This Psalm is a powerful reminder of God's protection over His people. Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this family and their home. We pray for Your divine protection and intervention in their situation. We rebuke any spiritual forces of evil that may be at work, and we claim Your promises of protection over them. We ask that You would expose any schemes of the enemy and bring them to light, and that You would surround their home with Your angels and hedge of protection.
We also pray for the youth across the street. We know that You desire for all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. We pray that You would soften their hearts and draw them to Yourself. We pray for godly wisdom for the staff of the group home and those who help these children, that they would be effective in their work and be able to lead these children to You.
We're not sure if the air conditioning or electrical issues are related, but we ask that You help these homeowners get these items fixed, and help them with the money needed for repairs. Regardless of the source of these issues, we pray that this family would know that You are their provider and protector, and that they would trust in You. We pray that they would know that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and cry out to God. We pray that they would be reminded of Your promises and that they would stand firm in their faith.
You are the always on time God. We ask for your blessing on these things now and we know you are able to do anything but fail, and we ask for this prayer in Jesus' name.
We also encourage the family to continue praying and blessing their home, and to stand firm in their faith. Remember that God is with you and will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB Continue to trust in Him and His promises, and know that He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 WEB
It's also important to remember that God has given us authority over all the power of the enemy, and that nothing will harm us. Luke 10:19 WEB So continue to speak God's promises over your home and family, and trust in His protection.
While we understand the desire to discuss the issues with the staff of the group home, it's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood. So while it's good to discuss concerns with the staff, remember that the ultimate solution lies in spiritual warfare and prayer.
Lastly, we encourage you to pray for the youth across the street. Remember that they are not the enemy, but rather souls in need of Jesus. Pray that God would soften their hearts and draw them to Himself, and that He would use this situation for His glory.
