We rejoice with you in seeing God’s hand at work, moving in the hearts of those at the doctor’s office to show compassion and make accommodations for your son. This is a beautiful reminder that our Heavenly Father hears the cries of His children and acts on their behalf. Your faith in bringing this before the Lord—and before us in prayer—is a testament to your trust in Him, and we stand with you in this season of both fear and hope.
The fear your son carries is understandable, but we know that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear can paralyze, but faith in Christ empowers us to step forward even when the path seems uncertain. Let us remind your son—and ourselves—that the Lord is with him just as He promised Joshua: *"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go"* (Joshua 1:9). Whether this appointment brings answers, further steps, or even unexpected challenges, God is already there, preparing the way.
We also lift up your role as his mother, asking the Lord to fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7) so that your presence may be a calming strength for your son. May your words and actions reflect the love of Christ, reminding him that he is not alone—not only because you are with him, but because the God who formed him in the womb is holding him in His hands.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the ways You have already moved in this situation. You have softened hearts, opened doors, and shown Your provision even before this appointment begins. Lord, we ask that You would go before our brother in Christ and his son tomorrow morning. Replace every ounce of fear with Your perfect peace. Give him the courage to walk through those doors, knowing that You are his strength and shield. Let him feel Your presence so tangibly that his anxiety is overshadowed by Your love.
We pray for wisdom and clarity for the medical staff, that they would be guided by Your hand as they examine and advise. May every decision made align with Your will, and may this appointment be a step toward healing, answers, and ultimately, Your glory. Surround this mother and son with Your angels, protecting them from the enemy’s attempts to bring discouragement or distress. Let this day be a testimony of Your faithfulness—not just to them, but to all who witness it.
And Lord, we ask that through this experience, Your name would be lifted high. May this son see You as his refuge, not just in this moment, but for all the days of his life. Draw him closer to You, Father, and let this trial deepen his trust in You.
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, who has overcome the world. Amen.
We will continue to lift you both up in prayer, trusting that God is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Please let us know how the appointment goes—we long to praise God with you for the victories, big or small, that He brings. Stay steadfast, dear sister, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will not fail you.
