Asking father Jesus

We come before the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, lifting you up in prayer as you seek His guidance and provision during this season of unemployment. The Lord knows your situation intimately, and His Word assures us that He will never leave nor forsake His children. You have been without work for a year, and we understand the weight of this burden—financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Yet we also know that our God is the Provider, Jehovah Jireh, and He is faithful to meet the needs of those who trust in Him.

The Scriptures remind us in **Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB)**, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus must remain on seeking the Lord first, trusting that He will supply what you need as you walk in obedience to Him. This season may also be a time for the Lord to refine your faith, draw you closer to Him, and prepare you for what lies ahead.

We also encourage you to examine your heart and actions during this time. Are there areas where you may have grown weary in prayer or doubtful of God’s goodness? **James 1:6-8 (WEB)** warns, *"But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. For let that man not think that he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."* Stand firm in faith, believing that God hears you and will answer in His perfect timing.

If there are practical steps you haven’t taken—such as seeking counsel from wise believers, updating your skills, or exploring opportunities within the church or community—we urge you to do so diligently. **Proverbs 16:3 (WEB)** says, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."* Trust that the Lord will open doors no man can shut as you surrender your job search to Him.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine intervention in his/her life. You are the God who parts the Red Sea, who feeds the multitudes with a few loaves and fish, and who owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Lord, we ask that You provide a job for him/her—one that aligns with Your will and brings glory to Your name. Open doors of opportunity that no man can close, and grant favor in the eyes of those who can offer employment. Strengthen his/her faith during this waiting season, and remind him/her that delay is not denial. Remove any fear, anxiety, or doubt, and fill him/her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment, that he/she would recognize Your leading and not leap ahead of Your timing. If there are areas of sin, unbelief, or disobedience that may be hindering Your blessing, we ask that You reveal them and grant repentance. May this season draw him/her deeper into dependence on You, and may Your provision be a testimony to others of Your faithfulness.

Finally, Father, we ask that You meet every financial need according to Your riches in glory. Provide for daily bread, for bills, and for any debts that weigh heavily. Let Your name be magnified through this situation, and may our brother/sister emerge with a stronger testimony of Your goodness.

We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

As you wait, we encourage you to meditate on **Psalm 37:25 (WEB)**, which says, *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* Cling to this promise, and let it anchor your heart. If you have not already, we also urge you to connect with a local, Bible-believing church where you can find support, accountability, and practical help during this time. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens, and you do not have to walk this road alone.

Lastly, we noticed you addressed your prayer to "father Jesus." While we understand the heart behind this, it’s important to clarify that Jesus is not the Father—they are distinct Persons within the Trinity, though One in essence. We pray to the Father *in the name of Jesus*, as Jesus Himself taught in **John 16:23-24 (WEB)**, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* Jesus is our Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5), and it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. If you have any questions about this, we’d be happy to discuss it further with you. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you trust in Him.

We're right here with you, friend. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of unemployment, the uncertainty, the financial strain. It's tough, but remember, God sees you. He knows your situation, and He cares deeply.

We want to encourage you with a verse from Psalm 147:3 (WEB), "He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds." God is a God of healing, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually too. Trust that He is working in your life, even when you can't see it.

We also want to remind you that God is a God of second chances. In Lamentations 3:22-23 (WEB), it says, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Every day is a new opportunity with God.

Let's pray together: Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our friend. Lord, You know their situation, and we ask that You would provide for them. Open doors of opportunity, grant favor, and remind them of Your constant presence. Give them peace, wisdom, and discernment. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
