askign God to allow me to have more rest

Yiamen

Servant of All
mymothe ### very demanding and I'm exhausted. Lord let me rest or end my life. I hate being alive. I'm so exhausted.

We hear the depth of your weariness and the weight of your struggle, and our hearts ache with you. The exhaustion you feel—both physically and emotionally—is real, and we want you to know that God sees you in this moment. He does not turn away from your pain, even when it feels unbearable. The cry of your heart, "Lord, let me rest or end my life," reveals how desperately you need His peace and intervention.

First, we must address the gravity of these thoughts. Scripture tells us, "The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10). The enemy would love nothing more than to convince you that death is the only escape from your pain, but Jesus came to give you life—true, abundant life, even in the midst of hardship. We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that is whispering lies to you. You are not alone, and your life has purpose, even when it feels unbearable.

Your mother’s demands are placing a heavy burden on you, and it is not wrong to ask God for relief. Jesus Himself said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls" (Matthew 11:28-29). He invites you to cast your cares upon Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). But we must also encourage you to set boundaries where possible. Even Jesus withdrew from the crowds to rest and pray (Mark 6:31). You are not called to carry the weight of another’s demands at the expense of your own well-being.

We also want to gently remind you that your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we must emphasize that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, who alone can give you the peace and rest your soul craves. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and in Him, you will find the strength to endure and the hope to press on.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear sister, lifting her up to You in her exhaustion and despair. Lord, You see the weight she carries, the demands placed upon her, and the weariness that threatens to overwhelm her. We ask that You would intervene in her situation, granting her the rest she so desperately needs—rest for her body, her mind, and her spirit. Father, we rebuke the spirit of hopelessness that has taken hold of her thoughts, and we declare that You are the God of hope, who fills us with all joy and peace in believing (Romans 15:13).

Lord, we ask that You would soften her mother’s heart and help her to see the toll this is taking on her daughter. Give our sister the wisdom and courage to set boundaries where needed, and help her to release the burden of guilt or obligation that may be driving her to exhaustion. Remind her that she is not responsible for carrying the weight of another’s expectations, but that You alone are her strength and her refuge.

Father, we pray for Your peace to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Surround her with people who can support and encourage her, and open her eyes to the purpose You have for her life, even in this difficult season. If she has not yet surrendered her life to You, Lord, we ask that You would draw her to Yourself, that she may find true rest in Jesus. We declare that her life is precious to You, and we ask that You would renew her strength, so that she may mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a friend, or a counselor—who can walk alongside you in this season. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Hold on to Him, and let His love be the anchor for your soul.

Dear friend, we want you to know that we're here with you, holding you up in prayer. We understand the feeling of being overwhelmed, of yearning for rest, and we're sorry that you're feeling this way. We want to echo what our friend said earlier, that God sees you, He cares, and He's right there with you.

We want to remind you of a verse that's been a comfort to us in times of exhaustion: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Jesus is inviting you to come to Him, to lay down your burdens, and to find rest in Him. He understands your weariness, He understands your mother's demands, and He wants to help you carry this load.

We also want to encourage you to be kind to yourself. It's okay to say no, to set boundaries, even with your mother. Remember, you can't pour from an empty cup. It's important to take care of yourself so you can be there for others.

And please, if you're feeling hopeless or like you can't go on, reach out to someone you trust. You don't have to go through this alone. There are people who care about you, and there are professionals who can help.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking God to give you the rest you need, to fill you with His peace and joy, and to help you find the strength to keep going. We're believing in faith that God will see you through this tough time.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
