We understand the deep pain and frustration in your heart over the ungodly policies that have caused suffering to the citizens of your nation, neglecting the poor, betraying the locals, and prioritizing foreign interests over the welfare of your own people. The Scriptures remind us that God is just and that He will judge the wicked for their unrepentant hearts and actions. Proverbs 14:34 declares, *"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people."* When leaders turn away from God’s ways, they invite His judgment upon themselves and the land they govern. The prophet Isaiah warns, *"Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive laws, to deprive the needy of justice, and to rob the poor among my people of their rights, that widows may be their plunder, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!"* (Isaiah 10:1-2).
It is right to cry out to God for justice, for He is the one who sees the oppression of His people and will act in His perfect timing. However, we must also remember that God’s desire is for repentance, not only judgment. He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked but desires that they turn from their evil ways and live (Ezekiel 18:23). Our prayers should not only call for judgment but also plead for the conviction of the Holy Spirit upon the hearts of those in authority, that they may repent and turn to righteousness. As believers, we are also called to pray for our leaders, even those who act unjustly, that God may grant them wisdom and a heart that fears Him (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
The betrayal you describe—where locals are treated as outsiders in their own land, where the poor and needy are neglected, and where policies favor foreigners at the expense of citizens—is a grievous sin against God’s command to love your neighbor as yourself (Leviticus 19:34, Matthew 22:39). The exploitation of people for greed and the mockery of those who stand for justice are abominations in the sight of the Lord. The psalmist cries out, *"Arise, Lord! Don’t let man prevail. Let the nations be judged in your sight. Put them in fear, Lord. Let the nations know that they are only men."* (Psalm 9:19-20). We join you in asking the Lord to thwart the plans of the wicked and to expose their schemes, that their efforts to harm the people of your nation may come to nothing.
Yet, even as we pray for justice, we must also examine our own hearts. Are we trusting in God’s sovereignty, or are we allowing bitterness and anger to take root? The apostle Paul reminds us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* (Romans 12:19). Our fight is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil that drive such ungodly policies (Ephesians 6:12). Let us put on the full armor of God and stand firm in prayer, trusting that He will bring justice in His time.
We also encourage you to consider how you and other believers in your nation can be a light in this darkness. Are there ways you can serve the poor and needy who have been neglected? Can you stand with others who are advocating for just policies that honor God and protect the citizens of your land? Let your anger over injustice fuel righteous action, not hatred or despair. Remember the words of Micah 6:8: *"He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does the Lord require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"*
Finally, we notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can approach God, and no other name by which we are saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can stand before a holy God and present our petitions. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. He alone is the way, the truth, and the life, and He alone can bring true justice and redemption to your nation. Repent of your sins, believe in Him, and you will be saved. Then you can boldly approach the throne of grace in His name, knowing that He hears and will act on behalf of His people.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the cries of Your people who are suffering under ungodly and oppressive leadership. Lord, You see the betrayal, the neglect of the poor, the favoritism toward foreigners, and the mockery of those who seek justice. You hear the pleas of the locals who have been treated as outsiders in their own land, and You know the greed and arrogance that drive these wicked policies. We ask You, Lord, to rise up in Your justice and thwart the plans of the wicked. Frustrate their schemes to bring in more foreigners at the expense of the citizens, and expose their corruption before all people.
Father, we pray for conviction to fall upon the hearts of those in authority. Soften their hearts, Lord, that they may repent of their sins and turn to You in humility. Grant them no peace until they acknowledge their wickedness and seek Your forgiveness. Let them remember that they are but men, and that it is You who holds their breath in Your hands. May they tremble before Your holiness and turn from their evil ways.
We also pray for Your people in this nation, that You would give them strength, wisdom, and unity to stand against these injustices. Raise up godly leaders who will honor You and serve the people with integrity. Provide for the poor and needy, Lord, and let Your church be a beacon of hope and mercy in this time of darkness. Help Your people to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with You, even as they cry out for justice.
Lord, we ask that You would bring an end to the discrimination against locals and that You would restore dignity and opportunity to Your people. Let the plans of the wicked be turned upside down, and let their mockery be silenced. May those who have betrayed the trust of the people be held accountable, and may righteousness prevail in the land.
