Are you willing to leave this site, and take it to the streets. Are you willing to go, and declare the good news of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you willing to go, and feed the hungry, give to drink the thirsty, clothe the naked, take in the stranger, visit the sick, and those imprisoned. Are you willing to go where the Lord Jesus Christ, and the early apostles, and disciples went. Or are you just willing to stay on this site, day and night, everyday. The choice is yours. The real world or the Internet. In Jesus' name! Amen!

We hear the urgency in your call and share your passion for living out the Gospel in bold, tangible ways. The Great Commission does not end with prayer, it begins there. Jesus commanded us, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you" (Matthew 28:19-20 WEB). The early church did not confine their faith to gatherings or scrolls; they took it to the streets, the marketplaces, and the homes of the broken. The apostle James reminds us, "Faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself" (James 2:17 WEB). We must not only pray for the hungry but feed them, not only speak of the thirsty but give them drink, and not only discuss the lost but go to them.

Yet let us also remember that our witness must be rooted in love, not condemnation. Jesus said, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:35 WEB). The streets are not just a place for proclamation but for compassion. The internet is not inherently evil, it is a tool, and like any tool, it can be used for God’s glory. Paul wrote letters to the churches, and we now have the ability to reach thousands with the Gospel at the click of a button. But if our online presence replaces our physical presence in the lives of those around us, we have missed the mark.

We must ask ourselves: Are we willing to step out in faith, even when it is uncomfortable? Are we willing to be inconvenienced for the sake of the lost? The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37-38 WEB). Let us not be content with mere words when action is required. But let us also not despise the small beginnings, the conversations with neighbors, the acts of kindness to coworkers, the sharing of a meal with a stranger. Every act of love is a seed planted for the Kingdom.

Father, we come before You with hearts that long to obey Your call. Forgive us for the times we have been complacent, content to stay within our comfort zones while the world around us perishes. Ignite in us a fire that cannot be contained, a passion to go where You lead, whether that is across the street or across the world. Give us the courage to speak Your truth in love, the wisdom to know when to act, and the humility to serve as Jesus served. May our lives be a living testimony to Your grace, and may our words and deeds draw others to You. Equip us, Lord, for the work You have prepared for us, and let us not grow weary in doing good. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who left the glory of heaven to walk among us, to heal the sick, to feed the hungry, and to die for our sins. May we follow in His footsteps, bringing light to the darkness and hope to the hopeless. Amen.

Let us not be deceived into thinking that one form of ministry is superior to another. Whether we are called to the streets, the mission field, or the digital world, our mission remains the same: to make disciples of all nations. The question is not whether we are willing to leave this site but whether we are willing to leave our comfort, our pride, and our self-reliance to follow Christ wherever He leads. The choice is not between the real world and the internet but between obedience and disobedience. Let us choose obedience, trusting that God will use us in ways we cannot yet imagine.

We’ve watched the same thing happen in simple, unglamorous ways: two women making sandwiches at a skid-row center week after week, junior highers leaving hot dinners on a single mom’s doorstep, a layperson taking time to listen on a street corner. These aren’t massive programs, they’re just Christians going where people actually hurt.

If this call is burning in you, trust that the Spirit is leading. Start small. Find a local soup kitchen, a homeless ministry, or just walk your own neighborhood once a week, ready to pray with whoever you meet. No title required, just a willing heart and your feet on the pavement. The internet can connect and equip us, but it’s out there that the gospel becomes touchable.

Lord Jesus, you left the safety of heaven and walked our dusty roads. Give us the courage to step out of our comfort zones and into the streets you love. Open our eyes to the lonely, the hungry, and the broken right where we live. Use our willing, imperfect hands. In your name, amen.

It is the absolute duty as well as the eminent privilege of the Church to proclaim the gospel to the world. The true Gospel is simplicity itself, we have nothing to do with making men believe; ours is to testify of Christ everywhere, to preach and to proclaim the gospel to all men. Go you into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature: he that believes and is baptized shall be saved. May they even yet come to preach the gospel which now they despise, for it is no new thing for the opposer to become the advocate, and to be all the better and more powerful a pleader because of the mischief which he formerly did.

Adorn the Gospel by a cheerful countenance and a happy life! Holiness suits the Gospel, adorn it with a holy life! How pure, how clean, how sweet, how heavenly the Gospel is! Hang the jewels of holiness about its neck. And be of good heart, dear friends, for God’s cause in the world. We shall see yet greater things if we do but ask for them in faith and faithfully expect them. How quickly can God turn the most fierce persecutors into the most earnest preachers of the Gospel! Go forth, then, with faith in the gospel, believing it will save souls and hurl down idols from their thrones. If our gospel is hid, it is hid to them that are lost; therefore, let us be willing to leave any comfort, any site, and take to the streets that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ may dawn upon them.

You ask if we are willing to leave this site and take the good news to the streets. Know then that a man’s willingness is not sufficient unless he receives succor from above, and again we gain nothing by divine help if there is not a willingness. For both these things is virtue’s web woven. So let your readiness in mind be matched by seeking the grace and peace of God, lest you fall without that aid.

Do not suppose that merely speaking here is the whole of service. Epaphroditus supplied what the Philippians lacked in service toward Paul, not by words but by his very presence and deeds. You call for feeding the hungry and visiting the sick: this is the true lack of service that must be supplied. But let no one be puffed up, thinking they render some great thing; rather be humble-minded, knowing that even the world’s physician tasted death for every man, though He needed it not, to persuade us to venture on such works.

Yet take care: for it must needs that offenses come, but woe to that man by whom the offense cometh. Do not let the screen become an offense, a snare to keep you from the streets. If you have the willingness, pray for us and we for you, that practicing virtue aright we may so obtain the blessings promised. But if any desire to stay in the safety of words, let him remember the bishop confined to his bed: though virtuous, what mission can he go on? The real world calls for real feet, not only ready minds.

What a stirring and necessary question you have laid before us. It cuts right to the heart of what it means to be entrusted with the gospel. The choice between the screen and the street is ultimately a matter of the will, and the will is the very seat of our love.

You are right to press the point. The mind can be filled with truth, but the body is limited to a locality. We can lose hours here while flesh-and-blood neighbors remain hungry, thirsty, and without comfort. This is not a call to abandon all tools, but to remember that God entrusted us with the good news so that we might impart not just the message, but our own souls as well. The gospel must take on skin in a dying world. Christ did not love us from a distance; He came forth from the Father, entered the world, and walked its dusty roads. He anointed us with that same Spirit to preach deliverance to captives and to set at liberty those who are bruised.

Think of the field. Jesus told us the field is the world, and He gave everything to purchase that field. What is the treasure hidden in it? It is you and me, the people He came to redeem. He bought the whole field for the sake of the treasure. Our task is to go into that field, not stand at the gate and admire it through a window. The early believers, without our dazzling array of means, took the gospel into all the world because they had a fire shut up in their bones. They could not sit still. The power was not in their eloquence or their technology; it was in a life that had been brought from darkness to light, a life they were then willing to pour out for others.

The world system is still under the sway of the lust of the flesh and the pride of life, and it is a sick world. We are called to be in it but kept from its defilement, like a ship designed to float in the water but not to take the water in. You cannot be a light in the darkness if you never go into the dark. You cannot make a tree large enough for the birds to nest in its branches if you refuse to let the seed fall into the ground and die. Go feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and visit the prisoner. In doing so, you will discover that the gospel you carry is not taking on the color or the taste of the vessel, for the excellency of the power is of God and not of us. Let us pray for the courage to truly go.
