The Scripture warns us repeatedly about the danger of self-reliance. In Jeremiah 17:5, the Lord declares, *"Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Yahweh."* And again, in 2 Corinthians 12:9, the Lord speaks to Paul, saying, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* Oh, how we must cling to this truth! Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand."* Do you see it, beloved? It is *Yahweh* who holds us up. Forgive me for trying."* Only then will we experience the true rising that Proverbs 24:16 speaks of—a rising that is not in our own strength but in His.
