We hear your cry for peace and protection, and we stand with you in lifting this burden before the Lord. Anxiety can feel overwhelming, especially when the world around us seems filled with instability and danger. But we take comfort in knowing that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that He is your shield and fortress, and under His wings, you will find safety (Psalm 91:4).
Father, in the precious name of Jesus, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is struggling with anxiety and fear. We ask that You would calm their heart and mind, replacing every lie of the enemy with Your truth. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows all things, and we trust in Your protection over their life. Surround them with Your angels, as it is written, "For He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways" (Psalm 91:11). Shield them from harm and give them Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for those who are unstable and may seek to harm others. Lord, we ask that You would intervene in their lives, soften their hearts, and draw them to repentance. Let Your love and truth break through the darkness that binds them, and bring them into the light of Your salvation.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to torment and paralyze. In Jesus' name, we command it to flee, for "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that our brother/sister is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We encourage you to meditate on God’s Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Speak scriptures of protection and peace over your life, such as Psalm 23, Psalm 91, and Isaiah 41:10, which reminds us, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Lean on the Lord, for He is faithful to sustain you.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your unfailing love and protection. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would wrap them in Your peace and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Lord, we ask that You would go before them and behind them, that You would be their rear guard and their shield. Protect them from all harm and evil, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You completely. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
