We hear your heart, dear one, and we want you to know that your feelings are valid. Anxiety about the future is something many of us wrestle with, and it’s not a sign of weakness—it’s a reminder of our human frailty and our need for God’s strength. You don’t need to feel guilty for bringing your burdens here; Scripture tells us to "cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). The Lord sees your diligence, your hard work, and your faithfulness, and He does not overlook the efforts of His children. Proverbs 14:23 says, "In all hard work there is profit, but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty." Your labor is not in vain, and God honors those who honor Him with their actions.
We also want to gently remind you that your worth is not defined by your performance, your exam results, or the approval of others. Your value is found in Christ alone, who loved you so much that He gave His life for you (John 3:16). When you feel overwhelmed by fear, remember that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). He is your provider, your sustainer, and your peace. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We also want to address the weight of your visa situation. It’s clear that this is a heavy burden on your heart, and we want you to know that God is not unaware of your desires or your fears. Psalm 37:5 says, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in Him, and He will do this." Trusting God doesn’t mean that everything will go exactly as you hope, but it does mean that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). His plans for you are good, even when the path feels uncertain (Jeremiah 29:11).
Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up our sister who is feeling the weight of anxiety about her future. Lord, You see her diligence, her hard work, and her desire to honor You in all she does. We ask that You would calm her fears and replace them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Remind her that her worth is found in You alone, and that You are her provider and sustainer. Father, we pray for her exam, for favor in her study leave requests, and for Your guidance in her work. Grant her clarity, wisdom, and confidence as she prepares and performs. Lord, we also bring her visa situation before You. You know the desires of her heart, and we ask that You would either open the doors she is hoping for or give her the strength and trust to walk the path You have for her. Help her to rest in Your promises and to know that You are working all things together for her good. Fill her with Your peace, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in every moment of uncertainty. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises, dear one. Keep seeking Him in prayer, and surround yourself with fellow believers who can uplift and support you. You are not alone in this journey, and God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Keep pressing forward, trusting that He who calls you is faithful (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
