Answered prayers!

Many of you have prayed for me through this year of trials. The loss of my mother, financial problems, and my coming back to the Lord. Thank you for these prayers, there is so much power in the prayer that we offer up for others. Unselfish prayer, prayer for people that we haven't even met, strangers by sight, yet brothers and sisters in the adopted family of our Lord.

God has blessed me throughout my life, even my troubles I believe were allowed so as to bring me back home to Him, just as the prodigal son was brought to the point of starving in order to drive him back to his fathers house and arms. What an awesome God we serve, and how many times even though we are His servents do we find Him being the one that is doing so much for us.

He blessed me this week with a visit from my father. It was the first time that I had seen him since my mothers funeral in August. We live about 1,200 miles apart, and it is hard to see each other. He is also blessing me with an increase in work. There are times that the checks are delayed, and last week was one of those times. The check was delayed, and I was told would be delayed for an additional two weeks, making it impossible to pay some very important bills, like mortgage, and also payroll. This Monday it arrived in the mail, a week earlier than expected, and the date on the check was on Friday. That date is important, because when I called one of the guys up to thank him for getting it passed through, he seemed kind of shocked and said that he had gone home Friday dissappointed because he had been unsucessful in getting them to release the check!! It came in just in time to deposit in the bank and meet the deadlines for payments. Just like He always is, He was right on time.

There have been several times when people would pray for me and God would give them a message for me, everytime He did it was that everything was going to be alright. Several said that it would be alright, just to put my trust in Him. Thats one of the things I love about God, He is not only concerned with the answer to prayers, but in making us grow stronger in Him. I feel that I am still in the valley, but I can feel the ground rising with every step I take. He alone knows how many steps it will take to see the view from the top, but I know that He is leading me to higher ground. Praise God, bless His Holy Name. Holy, Holy, Holy, is He that lifts our burdens and strengthens us.

I know that there are many of you hurting right now, but I know that He is a respecter of no man, and what He does for one He will do for another. Lets keep praying one for another, bring even the small problems here to place at His feet. If we can't trust Him with the small things, how can we trust Him with the big things. Plus I feel so blessed when I pray for others. Take care my friends, and I pray that you feel His blessed presence in your lives today and everyday! Your brother in Christ, Harold.

Harold, if I could only express how many of your prayers have touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes! I want to thank the Lord for blessing us here with you and your ability to pray for others, and having the heart to think of others when you struggle in life with your own life issues, we are blessed by the Father to have you, and I ask the Lord to bless you over and above your desires and needs, in Jesus name amen.

Praise God Harold. I was so blessed in reading this post. Yes how can we trust him w/ big things if we can't trust him for the smalls ones??? We are all going to come through & out of the tribulations & trials, we shall come forth as pure gold out of the fire=)In Jesus name

Father, what can I say? Thank you for Harold and his witness to us. You are at work behind the scenes in all of our lives, and many times we don't even realize we've received a blessing until much time has passed. Thank you for the strength of spirit You have infused within Harold, for his desire and work to bring himself into a closer walk with You, for his wisdom in knowing that life with You is far better than life without You. I personally thank you for Harold's ministry to me during this time of grief. When my mom died in June, You sent Harold to me with beautiful messages of comfort and sweet remembrance. Little did he know that his own mother would come to live with You just two months later. It has been a great comfort to walk through this time together in unity of faith, encouraging one another and reaffirming our faith that one day, we will all be reunited within Your heavenly home. I ask that You would continue to bless Harold and his family, grant him an intimate fellowship with you and bring him to a fullness of faith that he has never known before. Thank you for his testimony and witness - may we all walk with such fervent hope, faith and love. Amen.

Thanks to each one of you for your prayers and for your words of encouragement. God is so good isn't He!!! It's funny how we start out praying for blessings for ourselves, reaching out to others for help, and the true blessings come when we extend our hands in help to others. He knew what He was doing when He said to pray for one another, it builds the love that He wants us to have for one another.

K-J. I too thank God for having someone here to help me over the sadness we have felt, but also to encourage me in the knowledge that as you told me one time, "I haven't lost her, I know exactly where she is at." It will be my honor for us both to meet each other on the other side of that river, and for both of us to meet the other ones mother.

I thank God every day for bringing me back home, back where I should never have left. But that's behind me, and the glory of God is before me. I started this thread to tell how God has been answering prayers. He has been sending me more work, while the work dries up all around me, He is still producing the fountain to carry me through. I have gotten more calls after this crisis this country is going through than I was before, now that is the power of God and prayer. Where He has really blessed me though, is in my relationship with Him. It has taken me over 40 years on this earth to finally realize the truth of the gospel. I can't make myself into a christian, but God can. These trials and hardships we go through are not meant to harm us, just to shape us into His image.

Father, I thank You for everything that You have brought into our lives. Even the hardships Lord, for they are what seems to draw us back to You. I thank You for being with us always, holding us up, working around us even at the times we are unaware that You are there. I pray for myself and my sisters and brothers here, that we will continue to hold onto that unchanging hand. The hand that stretches out to heal us, stretches out to comfort us, stretches out to shield us, and that same hand that was stretched out on the cross to die for us. Thank You God that we can grab hold of that nail scarred hand. Lord, I pray that each one of us will grow in trust and faith in You, be refined into what You would have us be, and that we bring honor to You. Thank You for reminding me of Jesus' prayer for us, that we would be one with Him just as You and He are one. Lord, I pray for our prayers and Jesus' prayers to meld into one, and be of one accord.
