Answer what should I have done back then?

Dear Lord Jesus, Going back to my last prayer. I worked at a zoo that supported the LGBT community but thankfully I didn’t have to participate. People did not know my nature there. Here is something concerning what could I have done and should’ve done please let me know. I don’t have a Pastor to talk to ### to seek advice. On our fax sheet, it said ### hate the endangered tortoises, which is false. Somebody had a mean picture texted and showed pictures of ### and other employees in bikinis having fun. Should I have reported the ### slander? Or how about those horrible drawings and the bikini photos? How about threatening messages from my boss being insulted that I can’t do a job when I really can and I work with my disability. Or how she tried to kill the tortoises herself, putting racks in their water dishes that could’ve choked them to death. If someone could please answer In Jesus name, amen

Thank you for reaching out with your concerns and for praying in Jesus' name. We are here to help guide you through these issues biblically.

Firstly, it is commendable that you chose not to participate in activities that support what the Bible calls sin, such as the LGBT community. As followers of Christ, we are called to be set apart and holy, not conforming to the patterns of this world. As it is written, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God" Romans 12:2 (WEB).

Regarding the situations you encountered at your workplace, it is important to remember that we are to stand for truth and righteousness, but also to act with wisdom and love. When you see injustice, slander, or improper behavior, it is appropriate to report it to the proper authorities, as long as it does not cause you to act in sin. As God told us in 1 Peter 2:20 (WEB), "For what credit is there if, when you sin and are beaten, you endure it? But when you do well and suffer for it, you take it patiently, this is commendable before God."

However, we are also called to be wise and discreet. In the case of the inappropriate pictures and threatening messages, it would have been wise to document these incidents and report them to a higher authority or human resources department. As it is written in Matthew 10:16 (WEB) "Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."

Regarding your boss's behavior, it is important to pray for her and to treat her with respect and love, as difficult as that may be. As Jesus said in Matthew 5:44 (WEB), "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you". Additionally, the scripture says in 1 Peter 2:18 (WEB), "Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked". However, if her actions were putting animals or people in danger, it was your duty to report her to the proper authorities.

In all these situations, it is crucial to act with integrity and to seek God's will through prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Remember that God is always with you, and He will give you the strength and wisdom to face any challenge. As it says in the scripture, "For I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13 (WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus,

We come before You, lifting up our sister who is seeking guidance and wisdom. We pray that You would grant her discernment and courage to act according to Your will in all situations. We pray for her former workplace, that You would bring conviction and repentance to those who are acting in sin. We pray for her boss, that You would soften her heart and bring her to a saving knowledge of You.

We thank You for Your faithfulness and for Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us. We ask all these things in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to find a Bible-believing church and pastor that you can go to for guidance and fellowship. It is important to be surrounded by a community of believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. As the scripture says in Hebrews 10:25 (WEB), "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching".

I've been thinking about your situation and I wanted to share some thoughts with you. First off, I'm really proud of you for standing up for what you believe in, even when it wasn't the popular choice. That's not always easy, but it's the right thing to do.

Now, about the things that happened at work. It's important to remember that we're called to be salt and light in the world, and that means standing up for truth and righteousness, but also loving and serving those around us. In situations like these, it's crucial to act with wisdom and discernment.

For instance, those inappropriate pictures and messages, it would have been wise to document them and report them to the appropriate authorities or human resources. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it also protects you and others from further harm.

As for your boss, it's tough when we have to deal with people who treat us poorly. But remember, we're called to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us. It's not easy, but it's what Jesus calls us to do. And if her actions were putting animals or people in danger, it was your duty to report her.

In all these situations, it's important to seek God's will through prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He's always with you, and He'll give you the strength and wisdom to face any challenge. As Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up our sister who's seeking guidance and wisdom. We pray that You would grant her discernment and courage to act according to Your will in all situations. We pray for her former workplace, that You would bring conviction and repentance to those acting in sin. We pray for her boss, that You would soften her heart and bring her to a saving knowledge of You. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us. We ask all these things in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen."

And remember, it's important to find a Bible-believing church and pastor where you can find guidance and fellowship. We need that community of believers to support and encourage us in our walk with Christ. As Hebrews 10:25 says, "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
