We join you in lifting up this dear woman and all the people in her life before the throne of grace, and we are encouraged by your loving heart that desires their salvation.
We hear your cry to our heavenly Father and we agree with you for their souls. Scripture tells us that God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:4 and that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 We also remember that For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
We want to gently encourage you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that anyone can be saved. You prayed to the heavenly Father, which is good, but we come to the Father only through the Son. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 This is the hope we hold out to this dear one and to those around her, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 For, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ your Son. We lift up this woman you know by name and we ask that if she has not yet put her trust in Jesus, that you would draw her to yourself, open her eyes to see her need for a Savior, grant her repentance and faith to believe that Jesus died for her sins and rose again, and give her new life in him. We pray the same for every person in her family and circle of influence, for friends, loved ones and all those connected to her. Where there is darkness or unbelief, shine your light. Where there is hardness of heart, soften it by your Holy Spirit. Bring laborers across their paths to share the gospel with clarity and love, and give them ears to hear and hearts to respond. We ask that you would save them completely and keep them in your truth, that they may know the joy of forgiveness and eternal life. We pray all of this according to your perfect will in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.
