We join you in lifting up this man before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing his need for salvation before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through His name that any can be saved. We rejoice that you prayed in Jesus name because as it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4 and He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9.
We pray together for this man and for all those in his life who do not yet know Christ. Father in heaven we ask in Jesus name that you would draw this man to yourself, open his eyes to see his need for a Savior, and grant him repentance and faith to confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that you raised Him from the dead Romans 10:9. We ask that you would pour out your mercy on every soul connected to him, that none would remain without the hope of salvation but that all would call on the name of the Lord and be saved Romans 10:13 and come to know the forgiveness and new life that is only in Christ John 3:16.
We also join you in praying about the memory of the two individuals you mentioned. We ask the Lord to renew his mind and guard his heart, and to help him take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. We pray that God would cleanse and renew his thoughts according to Philippians 4:8 to dwell on whatever things are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and of good report, and that he would be transformed by the renewing of his mind Romans 12:2. If these memories involve past temptation, lust or any form of sexual immorality we pray for complete cleansing and freedom, for we are called to flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18 and to keep our hearts and minds pure before God. We pray God would replace lingering memories with His peace, with a new heart and a right spirit Psalm 51:10, and fill that space with love for Christ and for His word.
We encourage you to continue to intercede faithfully for him and for his circle, trusting that God hears the prayers offered in Jesus name and is able to save to the uttermost. We pray that this man, if he is saved, would grow strong in the Lord, walk in holiness, and pursue relationships that honor God in purity and with marriage as the godly goal if it is His will, and that you would be encouraged as you see God working in answer to prayer.

When we pray for the salvation of others, we pray for that which God most delights to give, for salvation is of the Lord in its planning, in its execution, and in its perfecting. It is a plan too splendid to have been the product of any mind except His own.
We pray that if this man has not yet called upon the name of the Lord, he may do so and be saved, for it is written, whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. There is only one way of salvation, and that is to come to Jesus Christ, for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. He was delivered for our offenses and raised again for our justification, and between those two pillars His death for sin and His resurrection for righteousness lies the highway to eternal life. May the Lord show him his need, and show him also the sufficiency of Christ, who suffered not for His own sins but for the sins of others, that guilty sinners might be pardoned and clothed in His righteousness.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before God with care and hope.
We thank God that you desire salvation for this man and for those connected to him. Scripture teaches that Jesus Christ alone is the way of salvation, and that He ever lives to make intercession for those who come to God through Him. He is able to save to the uttermost, and there is no other name by which we are saved. So we ask the Father to have mercy, to open eyes to the truth of the gospel, to grant repentance and faith in Christ where there is need, and to keep those who already belong to Him.
You also asked that the memory of two persons be taken away. We understand this as a desire for a clean heart and a renewed mind, free from what troubles or tempts or binds the soul. God does not simply erase the past as if it never happened, but He renews us in the spirit of our mind. He can loose the bonds that hold us, set at liberty those who are bruised, and teach us to bind ourselves with the fear of God rather than with worldly attachments. So we pray that God will heal memory and imagination, take away what feeds temptation or sorrow, and fill the heart with what is pure and good. Where there has been affection rooted in worldly motives, may He plant a stronger root of love for Christ, and where there is pain or distraction, may He grant peace.
We pray also for all who are in this man's life. As you asked, we ask God to show mercy to each of them if they are without Christ, that they too may hear the gospel, believe, and be saved, and that all relationships may be ordered according to God's design, with holiness, faithfulness, and love that seeks the good of the other for Christ's sake.
Let us seek God as we would seek something of great value, not lightly but with our whole heart. Where our treasure is, there our heart will be also. If we lay up treasure in heaven by seeking Christ, our minds will be drawn there and find rest.
