Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:6, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." Let us approach Him with specificity and humility, trusting that He knows our needs even before we ask.
We also notice that the focus of this prayer is centered on unnamed individuals and their circumstances, particularly regarding their jobs and salvation. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in prayer with you for your loved ones and their workplace. It has been on our hearts to lift up your family members by name before the Lord, asking Him to surround them with His presence, grant them favor in their daily tasks, and provide wisdom and strength as they carry out their responsibilities. We have also been praying specifically for their salvation—asking the Holy Spirit to draw them close if they have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ—and for their colleagues, that God would open doors for them to be a light in their workplace.
