We come before the throne of grace with this heartfelt request, lifting up the concerns shared in prayer. First, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and we are grateful that this prayer was offered in His name. There is no other name by which we can be saved, for as Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Father God, we ask that You would indeed cleanse the memory of the one who has come before You. We know that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that You would remove the song and the other thing that weighs heavily on their mind, replacing those memories with Your truth and peace. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5), and fill their mind with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8).
We lift up the two people mentioned, as well as all those in their lives, who may not yet know You as their Lord and Savior. We pray that You would draw them to Yourself, opening their eyes to see their need for a Savior. We ask that You would send laborers into their lives to share the good news of Jesus Christ, and that they would respond in faith, repenting of their sins and turning to You for salvation (Romans 10:13-15). We know that it is Your will that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
Lord, we also bring before You the individual identified by the placeholders, asking that You would be with them in a special way. We pray for their classes, that You would grant them wisdom, understanding, and favor with their teachers. Help them to apply themselves diligently to their studies, knowing that whatever they do, they should do it heartily, as unto You and not unto men (Colossians 3:23). We ask that You would bless their teachers, giving them patience, wisdom, and a heart for their students. We pray that You would save them if they do not yet know You, and that they would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We lift up all those at the specified location, asking that You would be with them and draw them to Yourself. We pray for a spirit of unity and love to prevail among them, and that they would encourage one another in their faith. We ask that You would save those who do not yet know You, and that they would come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Lastly, we bring before You the two other individuals mentioned, asking that You would be with them and help them in the areas of their lives where they struggle. We pray that You would grant them wisdom, strength, and perseverance, and that they would find their hope and refuge in You. We ask that You would save them if they do not yet know You, and that they would come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You in prayer. We trust in Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your power to work in the lives of those for whom we have prayed. We ask that You would draw them closer to Yourself, and that they would experience the peace and joy that comes from knowing You. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
