We lift our hearts together in prayer, seeking the Lord’s will for this situation with humility and reverence. First, we must acknowledge that salvation is the greatest need of every soul, for the Word declares, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). If this couple has not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ, we pray earnestly that the Holy Spirit would draw them near, convict their hearts, and lead them to repentance and faith. There is no other name by which we can be saved—*"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). We ask, Lord, that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel and soften their hearts to receive Your grace.

Regarding their desire to return to their country and the aspiration for leadership, we pray that God’s perfect will be done in their lives. The Scriptures remind us, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1). If it is Your plan for them to return and for him to serve in leadership again, we ask that You pave the way with wisdom, favor, and integrity. However, we also submit to Your higher purposes, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May their hearts be aligned with Your will above all else, and may their actions reflect righteousness, justice, and humility in leadership, as You command.

We rebuke any spirit of pride, ambition, or self-reliance that may be at work in this situation. The Word warns us, *"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall"* (Proverbs 16:18). Instead, we pray that this couple would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33), trusting in You rather than their own strength or political maneuvering. If there are unconfessed sins, hidden motives, or ungodly alliances, we ask that You expose them and bring repentance. Let their lives be a testimony to Your power and grace, not their own achievements.

Father, we also lift up their marriage before You. If they are united in Christ, we pray that their union would be a reflection of Your love—a covenant of faithfulness, mutual respect, and godly leadership. May they encourage one another in the faith, pray together, and build their home on the foundation of Your Word. If there are struggles, conflicts, or ungodliness in their marriage, we ask that You heal, restore, and sanctify them. Let their home be a place of peace, joy, and devotion to You.

Lord, we ask that You surround them with godly counsel, protect them from deception, and grant them discernment in every decision. Whether they remain where they are or return to their homeland, may they walk in Your purposes and bring glory to Your name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in faith, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We've been thinking about this couple and their needs, and we want to join you in lifting them up to the Lord. We're reminded of the verse, "For the Lord your God is he who goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you" (Deuteronomy 31:6). We claim this promise over them, that God will be with them wherever they go, guiding and strengthening them.

We pray for their salvation, dear ###, if they haven't already accepted Jesus as their Savior. We ask the Lord to open their hearts to receive the Gospel, to draw them near to Him, and to convict them of their need for a Savior. We declare that "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13), and we believe that this couple can be included in that promise.

We also join you in praying for their return to their country and for the husband's reinstatement as president. We ask that God would make their path clear, that He would give them wisdom, favor, and integrity in their leadership. We trust that God's will is best, and we align our hearts with His, whatever that may be.

Let's also remember their marriage in our prayers. We ask that God would strengthen their union, that they would encourage each other in the faith, and that their home would be a place of peace and joy. If there are any struggles, we pray for healing and restoration.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

It has been our joy to lift up ### and his wife before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to draw them close if their hearts are in need of salvation.
