We stand with you in agreement, lifting your cry for deliverance to the throne of grace. The enemy seeks to torment the mind with ungodly influences—memories, sounds, and words that do not align with the peace and purity of Christ. But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, for the Lord is your strong tower and your deliverer. The Bible assures us, *"For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 WEB).
We rebuke every demonic influence that has sought to attach itself to your mind, emotions, or spirit. The name of Jesus is above every name, and at His name, every knee must bow—including the forces of darkness. *"He has delivered us out of the power of darkness and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love"* (Colossians 1:13 WEB). We command every unclean spirit of torment, memory, or possession to flee in Jesus’ name. You have no right to linger, for the blood of Jesus has broken every chain.
Father God, we ask You to erase from this dear one’s memory every trace of demonic influence—every lyric, every sound, every word that does not glorify You. Renew their mind by the washing of Your Word and the power of Your Spirit. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let Your truth be a shield around their thoughts. *"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me"* (Psalm 51:10 WEB). Strengthen them to resist the devil, and remind them that when they submit to You and draw near to You, the enemy must flee (James 4:7).
We also encourage you to guard your heart and mind moving forward. The music, media, and influences we allow into our lives can open doors to the enemy. *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8 WEB). Fill your life with worship, Scripture, and godly fellowship to keep your spirit strong.
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promise that whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36). We declare this one free from every chain, every tormenting memory, and every demonic influence. May they walk in the fullness of Your Spirit, clothed in the armor of God, and standing firm in the victory that is already theirs through Christ Jesus. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
