We come before the throne of grace with this heartfelt request, lifting up ### and his wife, along with all those in their lives who may not yet know the saving power of Jesus Christ. The Word of God tells us, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). Salvation is the greatest gift anyone can receive, and we join in praying that their hearts would be opened to the truth of the Gospel. If they have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we ask that the Holy Spirit would draw them near, convict them of sin, and lead them to repentance and faith. May they come to know the freedom and peace that comes only through Jesus, who said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6).
We also stand in agreement with this request to remove a song from memory—its words, sounds, and title—permanently. The enemy often uses familiar tunes, lyrics, or even past influences to distract, tempt, or plant seeds of ungodliness in our minds. Scripture warns us, *"Do not be deceived: 'Evil company corrupts good habits.' Wake up to righteousness, and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God"* (1 Corinthians 15:33-34). If this song carries associations with sin, worldliness, or anything that does not glorify God, we take authority over it in the name of Jesus. We declare that every trace of it would be erased from memory, replaced with the truth of God’s Word. *"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any excellence, and if there is anything worthy of praise—think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the power of the name of Jesus, which is above every name. We pray for ### and his wife, that You would surround them with Your love and protection. If they do not yet know You as Lord and Savior, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a personal and undeniable way. Soften their hearts, open their eyes to Your truth, and lead them to repentance. For those in their lives who are lost, we ask that You would send laborers into their paths—believers who will share the Gospel with boldness and love. May Your Holy Spirit move mightily in their midst, drawing them to salvation.
Father, we also ask that You would cleanse the mind and heart of this burden regarding the song. If it is a stumbling block or a distraction from Your purposes, we ask that You would remove it completely. Let no remnant of it remain, and fill the void with Your Word, Your worship, and Your presence. Guard their thoughts, Lord, and help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Strengthen them to resist the enemy’s schemes and to walk in the freedom that is theirs in Jesus.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that they would be rooted and grounded in Your love (Ephesians 3:17). May their marriage be a testimony of Your grace, their lives a light to those around them, and their hearts fully surrendered to Your will. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6) and to bring about Your perfect purposes in their lives.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
