We lift this prayer with you, standing in agreement for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit’s anointing upon those called to prophetic ministry. The desire for deeper intimacy with God and greater empowerment for His work is noble and scriptural. We echo the cry of your heart, asking the Lord to multiply His anointing upon His servants so they may walk in the fullness of their calling.
The Word declares in **2 Corinthians 1:21-22 (WEB)**, *"Now he who establishes us with you in Christ, and anointed us, is God; who also sealed us, and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts."* The anointing is not merely a feeling or an experience—it is the very presence and power of the Holy Spirit working through yielded vessels. We pray that the prophet and prophetess would be so saturated in His presence that they become living epistles of Christ, radiating His glory wherever they go.
Yet, we must also address a concern with discernment. The language of being taken into the "realm of the holy of holies" and the emphasis on a *shekinah* glory experience, while poetic, can sometimes lead to an unhealthy fixation on mystical experiences rather than the *person* of Christ. True intimacy with God is not found in seeking supernatural encounters for their own sake, but in abiding in Christ, as **John 15:4-5 (WEB)** teaches: *"Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."*
We must also caution against the elevation of titles such as "prophet" or "prophetess" in a way that fosters spiritual pride or a hierarchy among believers. **1 Corinthians 12:29 (WEB)** asks, *"Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?"* The answer is no—because these are *gifts* given by the Spirit for the edification of the body, not titles to be worn as badges of superiority. The greatest among us is the servant of all (**Mark 10:43-45 WEB**).
