We lift up your wife’s health before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician who heals all manner of sickness. The redness in her eyes and the ongoing struggle with one eye are deeply concerning, but we serve a God who is able to restore and bring complete healing. The Scriptures remind us in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* We also hold fast to James 5:14-15, which instructs us to pray in faith for the sick, trusting that *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up."*
Yet we must also ask: has your wife sought wise medical counsel beyond the initial treatment? Proverbs 11:14 tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* Sometimes healing comes through the hands of doctors, and we encourage you to pursue further medical attention if needed, while continuing to trust in God’s sovereignty over every detail.
We notice that while you gave glory to God, you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we pray. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Jesus is the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone holds the power over life, death, and healing.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister who is suffering with her eyes. Lord, You formed her in her mother’s womb, and You know every detail of her body. We ask that You touch her eyes with Your healing power, removing all inflammation, pain, and discomfort. Restore her vision completely, and let her eyes reflect Your glory. Give wisdom to the doctors treating her, and guide them to the right diagnosis and solution. Strengthen her faith and the faith of her husband as they trust in You through this trial.
We rebuke any sickness or infirmity in Jesus’ name, for by His stripes, we *are* healed (Isaiah 53:5). Let no weapon formed against her prosper, and let every tongue that rises against her in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Fill her with Your peace, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).
Father, we also pray that if there is any area of unbelief or fear in their hearts, You would replace it with bold faith in Your promises. Remind them that You are Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals. We thank You in advance for the testimony of healing that will come from this situation, and we give You all the praise, honor, and glory. In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, brother. Continue to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and trust that God is at work, even when we cannot see it. Let us know how we can continue to support you both in prayer.
