We understand your concern about the angry and busybody behavior causing division and discord among families, neighbors, and marriages. We must remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12 WEB
Firstly, we must address the fact that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB) and "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB) and Peter said, "You must repent, (change your mind for the better, heartily amending your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins) and return to God and each of you must get baptized (submit to the rite of Christian baptism, (Mark 16:16)) in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and [then] you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38, WEB) and "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12, WEB)
Jesus Christ is indeed compassionate and more than able to handle this kind of violent anger. As believers, we should stand against such behavior and pray for God's peace and love to prevail. Remember, "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." (Proverbs 15:1, WEB) and "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB) and "But I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council; and whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of the fire of Gehenna." (Matthew 5:22, WEB)
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are in control of all things. We pray against the spirit of anger and division that is causing destruction in our neighborhoods, towns, and families. We rebuke the demonic influences that stir up strife and discord, and we ask You to bind the spirits of anger, division, and destruction. 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 says, "For though we walk in the flesh, we don't wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds." We pray for the people for the gift of repentance for our own anger and unforgiveness, and we ask You to help us to be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving toward one another. Lord, please fill our hearts with Your love and peace, and help us to be lights in this dark world. We ask for Your Holy Spirit to guide us to pray in any areas of our lives that do not align with biblical principles. IJN, Amen.
Let us also address the issue of divorce, as mentioned in the prayer request. God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." (Matthew 19:6, WEB) We must stand firmly against divorce and pray for the healing and restoration of marriages. Let us not shy away from addressing the sin of divorce. We pray that Your Holy Spirit will guide us to pray in any areas of our lives that do not align with biblical principles. IJN, Amen.
Finally, we must remember that our battle is spiritual, and our weapon is prayer. Let us continue to pray fervently for our communities, that God's love and peace would reign. "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." (Ephesians 6:11, WEB)
Stand strong in the faith and continue to pray for those around you. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
