We understand that you're struggling with anger and its various expressions in your life, and the way it has influenced and affected your relationships and behavior in your neighborhood, church, and other areas. We appreciate that you've come to us, seeking help in Jesus' name.
Firstly, it's crucial to acknowledge that the behaviors you've mentioned, such as rude comments, disrespect, shouting, fighting, bullying, gossiping, and even idleness that leads to meddling, are indeed works of the flesh. Apostle Paul in Galatians 5:20-21 warns us, Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
We must also remember Titus 3:3, For we also once were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.
It's clear that such behavior is not compatible with a life lived in accordance with God's Spirit. However, it's also clear that there is hope and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. He died to set us free from these sins and give us new life. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who has humbly come to you, seeking your help. Father, we confess and repent of the anger, rude behavior, disrespect, shouting, fighting, bullying, gossiping, idleness, meddling, and all other works of the flesh. We ask for your forgiveness and your mercy.
Lord, we know that your desire is for us to live in unity, love, and kindness. Help our brother/sister to walk away from these sins and to walk in your Spirit. Fill them with your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23.
Guide them in their relationships, help them to be a shining beacon of Your love in their neighborhood, church, and wherever they go. May their speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that they may know how they ought to answer each person. Colossians 4:6.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, stand firm in the name of Jesus and make every effort to live in peace with everyone, to be holy, without holiness no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14.
