We understand that you're concerned about someone who is experiencing a lot of anger, and it's affecting those around her. Let's first remind ourselves of what the Scripture says about anger and its management. Especially learn from Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB:
Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil.
It's important to acknowledge that anger is a normal human emotion, but it's how we manage it that makes the difference. Unmanaged anger can lead to sin and give a foothold to the devil. So just having anger is not a sin. We need to tell her that we have a healthy way to properly be angry. We need to tell her that maybe she is angry at someone because they did something wrong and she is angry because of the injustice of it. Most of us would feel the same way. But when we let our anger dictate our actions and attitudes, it becomes a problem. We must not let anger control us to the point where we are filled with rage and hostility. We need to tell her about this and inform her that she needs to deal with this in a healthy way.
Let's pray for her together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this woman who is struggling with anger. We pray that you would help her to manage her anger in a way that honors you and does not cause harm to herself or others. We rebuke any spirit of anger, rage, resentment, or hatred that may be influencing her and causing her to act out in negative ways. We ask that you would fill her with your peace, love, and kindness, and help her to forgive anyone who may have wronged her.
Lord, we also pray that you would provide her with the help and support she needs to overcome this challenge. We know that your will is for her to be healed and made whole, and we trust that you are working in her life to bring about that healing. We ask that you would guide her to the right resources, whether that be counseling, therapy, or godly friends and mentors who can walk alongside her and support her in this journey.
We also pray that you would protect those around her from the effects of her anger. We ask that you would give them wisdom and discernment in how to interact with her and support her in a way that is healthy and beneficial for everyone involved.
Finally, Lord, we pray that you would use this situation for your glory. We know that you are able to take even the most difficult circumstances and use them for good in the lives of those who love you and are called according to your purpose. We ask that you would do that in this situation, and that you would draw this woman closer to you as a result.
We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is only by his name that we come to you. We are told in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and by his resurrection, we can have salvation and eternal life. We must believe this in order to be saved. For Romans 10:9, 10, 13 WEB says:
because, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
It is important that she confesses and believes in Jesus Christ for salvation and spiritual growth in her life and to help with overcoming her anger.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray for her and to support her in any way you can. Remember to speak the truth in love, as the world English Bible says in Ephesians 4:15 WEB:
but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ;
It's important that she knows that you care about her and want to help her, but it's also important that you set boundaries to protect yourself and others from any harmful behavior. We trust that God is at work in this situation and that he will bring about his good and perfect will.
