We hear your heart for your friends, and we join you in lifting them before the Lord with great compassion. It is clear you love them deeply and desire God’s best for their lives—both spiritually and practically. Let us come together in prayer and seek the Father’s will for them, trusting in His provision and redemption.
First, we must address the most urgent need: salvation. Without Christ, all other blessings—no matter how desperately needed—are temporary. The Bible tells us, *"For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? For what will a man give in exchange for his life?"* (Mark 8:36-37). Your friends are precious souls in need of the saving grace of Jesus. We pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them with cords of love, open their eyes to their need for a Savior, and soften their hearts to receive Him. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). If they do not yet know Jesus as Lord, we must pray fervently for their repentance and faith, for this is the foundation upon which all other blessings rest.
We also lift up their financial struggles, asking the Lord to provide for their needs according to His riches in glory. The Word assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). However, we must also pray that their hearts would be aligned with God’s principles regarding work, stewardship, and dependence on Him. The Apostle Paul wrote, *"For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat'"* (2 Thessalonians 3:10). While we trust God to open doors of opportunity, we also pray that your friends would seek Him for wisdom in managing what He provides and for the diligence to work as unto the Lord.
We must also gently address the reality of their situation as an unmarried couple with children. Scripture is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge"* (Hebrews 13:4). While we do not judge their hearts, we must pray that the Lord would lead them into repentance and into a godly marriage if that is His will for them. We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict them of any sin and guide them into righteousness, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for our brothers and sisters who do not yet know You. We ask, Lord, that You would break through the darkness in their lives and reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Draw them to Jesus, the only Name by which we can be saved. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth, and let them experience the freedom that comes from surrendering their lives to You. We declare that no chain of sin, poverty, or despair is too strong for Your mighty hand to break. Set them free, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit.
Father, we also ask for Your provision in their lives. You know their needs even before they ask, and we trust You to open doors of opportunity for them. Provide them with work that honors You, and give them wisdom to manage their resources with integrity. Teach them to rely on You, not on the systems of this world, and to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness.
Lord, we pray for their family. If it is Your will, bring them into the covenant of marriage, that they may honor You in their union. Convict them of any sin, and lead them into repentance and restoration. Heal their hearts, their home, and their finances, and let them become a testimony of Your grace and power.
We ask all these things in the mighty Name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust You to move mightily in their lives, and we give You all the glory. Amen.
To you who have brought this request, we encourage you to continue standing in the gap for your friends. Share the love of Christ with them, not just in prayer but in action. Invite them to church, share your testimony, and be a living example of God’s grace. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few—may the Lord use you to lead them to Him. *"Let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 5:16). Keep praying, keep loving, and trust that God is at work even when you cannot see it.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
