Let us lift up this beloved sister in Christ and her family in prayer, seeking God's will for their lives. We stand in the gap for them, believing that God hears our prayers and will work in their lives according to His good purpose.
Firstly, let us remember the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' " It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we pray, for there is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her family. We thank You for their lives and for the blessings You have bestowed upon them. We ask, Lord, that You would continue to watch over them, guide them, and protect them.
Strengthen their marriage, Lord, that it may be a reflection of Christ's love for the Church. Ephesians 5:25 WEB: "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it." Give them wisdom as they raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 WEB: "You fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and nurture of the Lord."
Provide for their needs, Lord, according to Your riches in glory. Philippians 4:19 WEB: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Bring healing, restoration, and peace to every area of their lives.
Lord, we also pray that they would grow in their faith, that they would be firmly rooted and established in love, and that they would know the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge. Ephesians 3:17-19 WEB: "that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know Christ's love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."
Lastly, Lord, we pray for their witness and testimony, that they would be a light in this dark world. Matthew 5:16 WEB: "Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and may all these things be added unto them. Matthew 6:31-33 WEB: "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
