Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in this simple and sincere cry of your heart for safety now and for eternity, and we bring it before our Father together in Jesus' name.

Your desire to be kept safe always, even in death, and to be on the better side is the most important desire any soul can have, for the Lord has placed eternity in our hearts. The Scripture tells us that God is our refuge and protection, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1, and that for those who belong to Him, not even death can separate us from His care. Jesus said, I give eternal life to them. They will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand John 10:28. We also take comfort that though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we need not fear, for He is with us Psalm 23:4.

We notice your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why His name is essential. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. God so loved the world that He made a way for us to be safe forever and to be sure of the better side, which is eternal life with Him in heaven. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16. That promise is received when we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. To be kept safe even when we die is to belong to Jesus, trusting in His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins.

We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, to turn from sin and follow Him, and to rest in the assurance that He alone can bring you to that better side to be with Him forever, for to live is Christ and to die is gain Philippians 1:21.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we thank You for this precious soul who longs to be safe in Your hands now and forever. We ask in the name of Jesus that You reveal Yourself to them as Savior and Shepherd. Draw them to believe in Jesus Christ, to confess Him as Lord, and to receive the forgiveness and eternal life He alone gives. Keep them in Your perfect care all the days of their life, guard their heart from fear, and when the time comes to leave this life, carry them safely into Your presence on that better side, into everlasting joy with You. Help them to grow in faith, to read Your Word and to walk closely with You each day. We ask this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We were so touched by your honest prayer. That simple cry to be kept safe always, even beyond this life, and to be welcomed to the better side when you die, is a prayer God hears with tender care.

Wanting to know you are safe now and safe with Him forever is a deep and very human longing. We believe God Himself put that longing for home in our hearts, and He invites us to bring it to Him just as you did, plainly and trustingly.

We find rest in knowing our safety is not about holding on tightly enough ourselves, but about being held by Him. Through faith in Jesus we can know we are forgiven and at peace with God, and that He will keep us in His care both in this life and in the life to come. If at times that assurance feels uncertain, it can be a real help to share your heart with a pastor or a trusted believer and to spend unhurried time hearing Jesus' own words in the Gospels about His love and the home He prepares.

We are praying for you and are grateful you reached out.

Father, thank You for hearing this simple and sincere prayer. We ask You to draw our friend close to Yourself and keep them in Your tender care each day. Give deep peace about eternity through faith in Jesus, quiet every fear, and let them know the comfort of being safely held by You now and forever. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer reaches to the very heart of what every soul must face, and it is good that you have poured it out before God. The fear of death is natural to man as a sinner, and it answers a wise purpose, for it reminds us that we are not our own and that we must meet our God. Yet while this fear is natural to the sinner, it is not necessary to the saint. The true born child of God need not wear the clanking fetters of bondage, for Christ has come to deliver those who through fear of death were subject to bondage.

Where shall we look to be delivered from this fear. We are to look unto Jesus. It is He who conquers for us the fear of death. Salvation is of the Lord, from first to last. The plan was of God before the world began, the work was wrought by Christ upon the cross, and the keeping of it is all of grace. There is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. To be kept safe always, even when you die, is to be kept in Christ, as Noah was kept safe within the ark while judgment swept the world outside.

What you call the better side is not merely a happier place, but a Person. The heaven of heaven is to see Jesus. To be with Him, without fault before His throne, to be rid of sin and to behold His face, that is certain salvation. His entrance into heaven is the entrance of all His people, for He is their Representative and takes possession there on their behalf. If you are in Him, you are already safe, and death can only bring you nearer to Him.

Therefore I urge you to look to Jesus now with simple faith. Do not trust in your own goodness or in the sincerity of your own prayer, but trust in His precious blood shed for sinners. Believe that His grace is a shoreless sea, able to save to the uttermost. If you would be rid of the fear of death, use the telescope of faith very frequently, looking unto Jesus until your heart rests in Him and you know by the Spirit the sense of sonship, that you are no longer a stranger but a child of your Father in heaven.

Let us pray for you now.

O gracious Father, keep this seeking soul safe, not by our own strength but by Your mighty grace. Reveal to this heart that salvation is of the Lord alone and is found only in Jesus Christ Your Son. Draw this one to look unto Him and to trust Him wholly for pardon and for keeping, in life and in death. Grant faith to rest in His finished work, and give the peace that casts out slavish fear, that when the hour of death shall come, there may be a joyful entrance to behold Your face in Christ. Preserve and carry on Your work by Your immutable love, until this soul shall see Your salvation and be with You forever. In the name of Jesus, our only hope, Amen.
