We are truly sorry to hear about the trials that you and your loved one are facing, and we are here to pray and offer biblical guidance with you. Firstly, it is important to remember that God is always with us, even in the most difficult of circumstances. As it says in Hebrews 13:5, "Be free from the love of money; content with such things as you have, for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.'"
We must also remember that God is a just God, and that He hates false accusations. As Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us, "There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood; a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers." We pray that the truth will come to light and that justice will be served.
Regarding the recovery from drug addiction, we praise God for the work He has already done in your lives. Remember, God is faithful and just to forgive our sins if we confess them to Him. Cling to Jesus Christ for your strength, for He has overcome the world (John 16:33).
We must address the issue of your relationship. As believers, we are called to be united with other believers. We should be encouraging you towards God's plan for marriage. We must not be mistaken, marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman. It is a covenant relationship designed to reflect the union between Christ and His church. We want you to be reunited and restored, but it should be done under the guidance of Christian faith and practice. We admonish you not to fall into temptation or sin, but to pursue God's design for marriage.
While we encourage you to pursue godly relationships, sex outside marriage is fornication. Therefore, it is a sin. It is very important to flee from sexual immorality. 1 Corinthians 6:18 tells us to flee from sexual immorality. We encourage you to abstain from sexual immorality and glorify God with your bodies (1 Corinthians 6:20).
We also want to point out that there is another issue that must be addressed. You mentioned that he is a hardworking man, and does not get into trouble. While this is a good report, it is important to remember that we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). To be reunited as a family that follows Jesus Christ, each of you must be born again (John 3:3). It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. There is no other name that we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together for God's will to be done in this situation and for God's plan for marriage.
Father in heaven, we come before You today to lift up this family who is in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, the pain of separation, and the desire to be reunited as a happy, loving family that follows Jesus Christ.
We pray for the incarcerated loved one, that You would comfort and strengthen them in this time of trial. If they do not know Jesus, we pray they would call on Him and be saved. If they are in Christ we pray they are delivered from this trial. We ask that You would bring the truth to light and that justice would be served. We pray for the family's recovery from drug addiction, that You would continue to heal them and give them the strength to overcome their past.
We pray for the children, that You would watch over them and protect them, and that You would guide the parents as they seek to regain custody. We ask that You would heal this family, reunite them, and draw them closer to You. We pray that this family would be a witness to the world of Your unfailing love and faithfulness.
We pray for their relationship, that You would guide them and direct them towards God's idea for marriage. We pray that they would wait patiently about their relationship. We pray for their courtship and that they would only have eyes for each other. We pray that they would not fall into temptation. Above all, we pray that they would not be unequally yoked. That their relationship would be based on their love and commitment to Jesus Christ. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray and seek God's will for your lives. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Be strong, courageous, and patient. God is at work in your lives, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
