We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to Him who is the Great Physician and the ultimate Judge of all truth. Father, we know that You see every detail of this medical report and the confusion it has brought. We ask that You would bring clarity where there is ambiguity and truth where there is uncertainty. Your Word says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we trust in You to guide this process and to reveal the truth in Your perfect timing.
We rebuke the spirit of confusion and fear that may be attempting to take hold in this situation. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the words of the lawyers and the upcoming appointment with the psychiatrist would align with Your will and Your truth.
Father, we also lift up the psychiatrist to You. We pray that You would grant him wisdom, discernment, and a heart to seek the truth. May he be guided by Your Holy Spirit in his evaluation and diagnosis. We ask that You would soften his heart to recognize any errors that may have been made and to have the courage to correct them if it is Your will. Your Word tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
We pray for peace and patience as you wait for this appointment. May You fill your heart with the assurance that You are in control and that Your plans for you are for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You would grant you the strength to endure this season of waiting and the faith to believe that You are working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we also pray for protection over your mind and emotions. Schizophrenia is a heavy burden to carry, and we ask that You would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May You fill you with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and remind you of Your presence and love.
We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and wholeness over your mind, body, and spirit. We pray that any misdiagnosis would be revealed and that the truth would set you free (John 8:32). We stand on the promise that You are the God who heals us (Exodus 15:26) and that nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17).
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
