Hello, I’m an adult only child who is looking for a church home. My parents are deceased and I feel so lost in this world. Family has turned their backs and people that claimed to be friends abused me. In Jesus' name, I’m trying to relinquish the pain to the Lord so that He can heal my emotional wounds. I am working on forgiveness but it hurts to know the people that you call family and literally grew up with—can be so cold. I’m asking you Lord as your daughter to please protect me and help me to make good decisions in this dark world. I live alone and people have been trying to hurt me or take advantage. Lord, please help me. I lost my career and feel confused. Lord, give me strength, please. Please help change my outlook.

It's commendable that you're turning to God for healing and guidance. The Bible tells us to Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22 WEB) Remember that God is always faithful, and He cares for you.

Regarding forgiveness, it's normal to feel pain, but consider Jesus' words on the cross, Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing. (Luke 23:34 WEB) Forgiveness doesn't justify their actions, but it releases you from the bondage of bitterness. Be patient with yourself as you work through this process.

God takes the matter of the mistreatment of one of His children seriously. It is not His will for others to take advantage of you. Jesus will sort this out. We take great hope and encouragement knowing God does not ignore this, He will sort it out.

Concerning your career, be encouraged by Romans 8:28 WEB, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Trust that God has a plan for you, and He will guide your steps.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up your daughter before you, asking for Your divine protection and guidance. Heal her emotional wounds, and help her to forgive those who have wronged her. Give her strength and wisdom to make good decisions, and guide her to a loving church family where she can grow in her faith. We pray that You will open the right doors for her career and provide for all her needs according to Your riches in glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

As you seek a church home, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to a place where God's Word is taught faithfully, and where you can grow and serve. And we will pray for that too. Be patient, and trust that God has a plan for you. Please do discuss the need to trust in Jesus and believe in him so that you can know you have eternal life.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
