Humble Prayer Warrior
There is power in prayer (James 5:16)!

In 2022, my wife left me and then she stole my children. I had left Alaska to go to Texas to start a new job to set up our new home. She stayed in Alaska.

I pleaded with God to help me go back to Alaska. In the summer of 2024, he answered my prayers and took me back to Alaska. I thought reconciliation would happen quickly, but it’s been over a year and nothing has happened … that I can see.

Over the last year, I have suffered in a lot of different ways.

Depression and deep sadness
Lived in the shelter, 4.5 months
Lived in the back of my van 28 nights
Lost three really good jobs /no fault
Almost died on 12/29 (-23F locked out)

I have also seen the hand of God:

Incredible northern lights
Door dash
Moose. Caribou, etc.
Mountains..lakes, rivers.

Last night at sunset, I saw a beautiful Mount Denali from 200 miles away. It’s not always visible.

At least four or five times in the last few months, I have asked God to let me see a moose to give me strength. I love moose. One could go months and months without seeing one, but every time I’ve asked God I have seen one that day or the next day. It has really given me strength.

On June 16, 2025, I lost my job as a laboratory manager due to no fault. The same day, God allowed me to stop living in my van and move into Ms ###’s basement apartment. It’s not very nice, but it’s much better than living in the back of my van in the heat.

Yesterday (9/30), I learned she would like for me to leave. I wrote her a long response but later I deleted it because I felt like it’s her house and if she wants me to leave, then I will leave. I’ve done nothing wrong, but it’s her home.

Also, I will leave because I believe in the providential hand of God. In my experience, God often moves in difficulty. So, this may be the difficulty in which God is relocating me or giving me a new job, etc.

Today, I’m going to briefly ask Ms ### if I can stay in the primitive basement apartment until November 1. That will give me some time to work extra hard on DoorDash to try and find a new place or move back to Texas.

I keep coming back here because I believe in prayer and so I humbly ask your prayers on my behalf.

I pray all the time, hours per day.
I read the psalms every month.
I read other things each month, etc.

I stand prepared to forgive my wife and love her like Christ of the church. She’s done some really bad things to me, but I’ve always been a forgiving person, and I stay prepared to forgive her.

Yes, I believe in Jesus Christ. It seems like if I don’t say that, then I’ll be chastised for not saying it. I’ve been a Christian since 1979.

I would really appreciate prayer concerning the following issues no particular order:

Marital reconciliation
Family together again
A new good job for stability
Wisdom and strength
Strength again to do DoorDash, etc
A comfortable place to call home

Your prayers mean a lot to me. Thank you for praying for me and lifting up my name in my situation before our heavenly father thank you so much.

May God bless you as you seek his face (Ps 105:4).

We lift you up before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and we thank Him that you have declared your faith in Him. It is only through Christ that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, and it is in His name that we find hope, strength, and redemption. Your testimony of salvation since 1979 is a reminder of God’s faithfulness, and we praise Him for sustaining you through the decades. Let us never forget that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2), and that in all things, we are to seek Him first (Matthew 6:33).

Your suffering over these past years has been profound—betrayal, separation from your children, homelessness, job loss, and the harsh realities of survival in Alaska’s unforgiving climate. Yet, even in this, we see the hand of God at work in your life. You have witnessed His provision in the northern lights, the majesty of His creation in Denali, and His personal care in the moose He has sent as a sign of His presence. These are not coincidences, but the tender mercies of a Father who sees you and knows your name. Remember how He provided manna in the wilderness and ravens to feed Elijah—He has not forgotten you (1 Kings 17:4-6). Your faith in His providence, even in the face of eviction, is a testament to your trust in Him. We pray that He will open the doors you need, whether that means remaining in Alaska or returning to Texas, and that He will provide a stable home and work for you. "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

Yet, we must also address the deep wound of your marriage and family. You have expressed a heart of forgiveness toward your wife, and this aligns with the call of Christ, who commands us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13). However, reconciliation is a two-way street, and while you stand ready to forgive, true restoration requires repentance on her part. We do not know the state of her heart, but we know that God is able to soften even the hardest of hearts. We pray that the Lord will work mightily in her life, convicting her of the wrong she has done—not just to you, but to the covenant of marriage and to your children. Marriage is a sacred bond, instituted by God, and it is not to be broken (Matthew 19:6). We rebuke the spirit of division and betrayal that has torn your family apart, and we declare that no weapon formed against your marriage will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). If it is God’s will, we pray for the restoration of your marriage, that your wife would turn back to the Lord and to her vows, and that your children would be returned to the safety and love of their father. "Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double" (Zechariah 9:12).

At the same time, we must encourage you to guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. Your suffering has been immense, and the enemy would love nothing more than to use this season to plant seeds of bitterness, despair, or even idolatry—whether that means placing your hope in reconciliation above your hope in Christ or allowing your circumstances to define your worth. You are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and your identity is not found in your marital status, your job, or your living situation. It is found in Him. "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11). Cling to this promise, and do not let the weight of your trials pull you into depression or despair. The psalms you read are filled with the cries of David, who often felt abandoned yet chose to praise God in the midst of his pain. Let his words be your prayer: "Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God" (Psalm 42:11).

We also urge you to seek godly counsel and community. You have carried this burden alone for too long, and while prayer is your lifeline, you also need the body of Christ to walk alongside you. If you are not already connected to a Bible-believing church in Alaska, we strongly encourage you to find one where you can be shepherded, encouraged, and held accountable. Iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), and you need brothers and sisters in Christ to stand with you in this battle. If reconciliation does not come, you will need their support to navigate the legal and emotional challenges of rebuilding your life. And if it does come, you will need their wisdom to restore your marriage on a foundation of Christ, not just emotion or relief.

As for your immediate needs—housing, work, and strength—we declare that the Lord will provide. He who fed the five thousand with five loaves and two fish (Matthew 14:17-21) is more than able to meet your needs. We pray that Ms. ### will have a change of heart and allow you to stay until November 1, but even if she does not, we trust that God will open another door. Perhaps this eviction is the very difficulty He is using to relocate you to something better. We pray for favor in your job search, that the Lord will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and that He will give you the physical and emotional strength to continue working with DoorDash and whatever else He provides. "Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act" (Psalm 37:5).

Finally, we want to speak life over your children. They are not lost to you, brother. They are known by God, and He loves them even more than you do. We pray that He will protect their hearts and minds, that He will draw them to Himself, and that He will reunite your family in His perfect timing. "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward" (Psalm 127:3). Do not lose hope for them. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep declaring God’s promises over their lives.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who has walked through the valley of the shadow of death. Lord, You have been his shepherd, and though he has faced unimaginable trials, You have not abandoned him. We thank You for Your provision—the northern lights, the moose, the beauty of Your creation that has reminded him of Your presence. We thank You for his faith, which has endured despite the storms.

Father, we ask for Your intervention in his marriage. If it is Your will, soften his wife’s heart and bring her to repentance. Restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and reunite this family in a way that glorifies You. Give him the grace to forgive as You have forgiven him, and the wisdom to know how to move forward, whether in reconciliation or in surrender to Your higher plan.

Lord, provide for his immediate needs—a place to live, a job to sustain him, and the strength to work. Open doors that no man can shut, and give him favor in the eyes of those who can help him. Protect him from the cold, from hunger, and from the despair that seeks to overwhelm him. Remind him that You are his provider, his protector, and his peace.

Father, we also pray for his children. Draw them to Yourself, and if it is Your will, bring them back into their father’s care. Let them know the love of Christ through him, and let this season of separation be redeemed for Your glory.

Strengthen our brother, Lord. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in joy and hope even in the midst of trials. Surround him with Your people, that he may not walk alone. And above all, let him know that You are with him, that You will never leave him nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6).

We declare victory over his life in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against him will prosper. Every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Restore to him the years the locusts have eaten, and let his testimony be one of Your faithfulness and grace.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

I'm here for you, brother. We've been praying for you and we want you to know that you're not alone. We see the strength and resilience in you, and we're inspired by your faith in the face of such adversity. We're standing with you, lifting you up in prayer, and declaring God's promises over your life.

We're believing God for a miracle in your marriage, that your wife's heart would soften and she would turn back to the Lord and to her vows. We're also believing for a stable job and housing situation for you, trusting that God will provide just as He has in the past. And we're praying for your children, that they would know the love of Christ through you and that they would be returned to your care.

Remember, God is with you. He sees you, He knows your name, and He has not forgotten you. Keep trusting in Him, keep seeking His face, and keep declaring His promises. You are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and your identity is found in Him.

We're here for you, brother. Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer and encouragement. Together, we can weather any storm.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
