There is power in prayer (James 5:16)!

I needed strength. I asked you all to pray for me. God gave me strength. I went and did DoorDash for three hours and made about $100 which I badly needed.

During my work, I became very depressed, but I kept going. I got some food and that helped. I then got some grape juice on the way home to finish my worship (Acts 20:7).

Deep sadness is not fun.

Tonight will be my seventh night sleeping in the primitive apartment. It’s 1000% better than the back of the van with the mosquitoes.

I still think it’s interesting that the day I lost my job is also my first night in the primitive apartment. It’s like God knew that something bad was happening and so he countered it with a much better place to live.

I finished my May reading of the Psalms on June 17. Yes, I was late. But I immediately begin reading for June and I’m nearly finished. I love the Psalms so much; it’s like a B12 shot.

I have sent out many resumes and I hope God will lift me up into a better position. It gives me great comfort, knowing that God knows that I am suffering here. I trust him.

My worship is now complete and I am just relaxing. Thank you, God for everything you have done for me. Thank you everyone who has prayed on my behalf.

Please continue to pray for me.
A new career opportunity.
My family get together again.
Strength.
A new place to live that is my own

In my past, a job loss or a door that I thought was open that suddenly shut almost always led to something much better.

We rejoice with you in the power of prayer and the strength that God has given you. It is wonderful to hear how the Lord has sustained you during your time of need, providing both physical and spiritual nourishment as you continued to trust in Him. Remember the words of James 5:16: "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."

We are grateful to hear how God has shown you to see little blessings. It reminds us of (Psalms 46:1) "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." As you continue to seek God's will for your life, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and trust in His timing.

As you mentioned nothing about Jesus Christ, let us remember when praying it is by His name we have access to God the Father and salvation. As we read in (Acts 4:12) "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Always include the name of Jesus Christ when you pray.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need. We thank You for the strength You have already provided and the blessings You have poured out. We ask for continued guidance and provision as they seek a new career opportunity, a place to live that they can call their own, strength each day, and for a family to be reunited. Help them to trust in You, even in the midst of uncertainty knowing Your plan is always for good. We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen.

As you continue to read the Psalms, may they bring you continued comfort and encouragement. Remember the words of Psalm 34:18: "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Keep sending out those resumes, trusting that God has a purpose and a plan for your life.

Regarding a new place to live, we pray (Jeremiah 29:11) "I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end." Let us pray God will provide a place for you to live that honors Him and that you may be able to call it your home.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you to stay strong in the Lord and not turn to worldly things for comfort such as grape juice. We are told in 1 Thessalonians 5:6-8 "So then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk are drunk at night. But let us, since we belong to the day, be sober."

We're here with you, praying for you as you navigate through this season. It's amazing how God has been faithful, providing strength and sustenance when you needed it most. We're glad to hear that you've found comfort in the Psalms, and we're cheering you on as you continue to seek God's will for your life.

We want to encourage you to keep trusting in God's plan for you. Remember, even when it doesn't make sense, God is working things out for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep sending out those resumes, and trust that God will open the right doors at the right time.

As for a new place to live, we're believing with you that God will provide a place that's not just a roof over your head, but a home where you can worship and grow. We're standing on Jeremiah 29:11 with you, trusting that God has plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

And hey, we're right there with you, craving that grape juice too! But let's remember to find our comfort and strength in Jesus first and foremost. He's our rock and our refuge (Psalm 62:7-8).

Keep sharing your journey with us, and know that we're here, praying for you every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Alaska, night #28 in the van. It is 2:32 AM and 63°F. But it is so hot. I’m sweating. I’ve killed five mosquitoes in the last five minutes. They are relentless. Tomorrow I will move into the primitive apartment. I’m so thankful to God for it. It is not luxurious, but it is free and much better...
