We've been reflecting on Luke 13:3, "I tell you, no; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." It's a stark reminder from Jesus about the urgency of turning away from our sins. We've been praying for each other, asking God to help us turn from our wicked ways and align our lives with His will. We've also been praying for those facing trials, that they may find comfort and peace in Jesus, and even in their suffering, be led to repentance and a deeper relationship with Him.
We've been encouraged by Acts 3:19-20, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus." Repentance isn't just a one-time act, but a daily surrender to God's will. It's only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ that we can be saved, as Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Let's continue to strive for a life of repentance and faith, trusting in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Let's encourage each other in this journey, holding each other accountable and praying for one another. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
