In the Christian world, the present season is known as Advent (coming).
It is celebrating a truth about God, the revelation of God in Christ whereby all of creation might be reconciled to God.
Let us therefore look forward with faith to the coming of our risen Savior Christ Jesus.
Father, continue to bless all standers here. Increase our faith in you. This season we pray that our spouses will come back to you, the Christ of their youth who was, is, and will be forever more. We wait with anticipation for them to return to the vows that they made before You, oh Lord, and us.
Father, let this be a season of rejoicing in heaven and on earth as these prodigals return to you and their loved ones. Father, welcome them back with open arms. There is no miracle too great for you to perform. You parted the Red Sea for Moses and the children of Israel. You made blind people see, the lame to walk, and even the dumb to speak. You have not finished making miracles. Father, You are our great hope.
Father, as we standers here get on our knees each day and pray for you to reconcile us to our spouses, make us mindful of your love.
Father, we want to thank you for your unconditional love and all your mercies. You continue to love all of us even though we sin and continue to. Through the death of your Son Jesus, who shed his blood at Calvary for us, we are redeemed. Thank You. Hear these our prayers now and always as we look forward to the return and coming with hope. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
