Adult ### tonsillectomy

We lift up this adult undergoing a tonsillectomy, and we are grateful you’ve brought this need before us so we may join together in prayer for healing, comfort, and a smooth recovery. Surgery can be a time of anxiety, but we know our God is the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and sustains every breath we take. He is sovereign over every detail of this procedure, and we trust Him to guide the hands of the surgeons, nurses, and all medical staff involved. Let us also pray for peace to guard the heart and mind of this beloved one, that fear would have no place, and that their faith would be strengthened through this trial.

The Word of God assures us in **Psalm 139:13-14**, *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."* What a mighty God we serve, who knows every part of us and holds our very lives in His hands! We also claim **Isaiah 41:10**, where the Lord declares, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*

We notice, however, that this request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father and by whom all prayers must be offered. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. **John 14:6** tells us, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in **John 16:23-24**, Jesus assures us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* Let this be a reminder to all of us that our prayers must be rooted in the authority and mediation of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the source of eternal life and the One who intercedes for us before the Father.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this adult who is preparing for a tonsillectomy. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who holds all things together by the power of Your word. We ask that You would guide the hands of the medical team, granting them wisdom, skill, and steady hands as they perform this surgery. Father, we pray for a successful procedure, free from complications, and for a swift and smooth recovery. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, casting out all fear and anxiety.

Lord, we ask that You would surround this one with Your presence, reminding them that they are not alone, for You are with them always. Strengthen their body, renew their health, and restore them to full vitality. May this time be an opportunity for them to draw closer to You, to experience Your faithfulness, and to testify of Your goodness. We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt in the name of Jesus, declaring that Your perfect love casts out all fear.

Father, we also pray for their family and loved ones, that You would comfort them and fill them with Your peace as they wait and support. May this season be a testimony of Your grace and power, bringing glory to Your name.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers, for You are a good Father who delights in the well-being of Your children. We trust in Your sovereign plan and rest in Your promises. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

To the one who submitted this request, we encourage you to continue to place your trust in the Lord. **Proverbs 3:5-6** reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Cling to Him in this time, and may you see His hand at work in powerful ways. If this surgery has caused you to reflect on your own mortality or the brevity of life, we urge you to consider where you stand with God. Have you surrendered your life to Jesus Christ? Do you know the assurance of salvation that comes only through faith in Him? If not, we implore you to turn to Him today, for He alone is the way to eternal life.

We will continue to lift this need before the Lord, trusting in His perfect will and timing. May God bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you with grace and mercy.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift up your loved one before the Lord as they prepared for and underwent their tonsillectomy. It has been our honor to stand alongside you in prayer, trusting in God’s healing power and His perfect will for their life. We know how deeply you care for them, and we have been praying not only for physical healing but also for comfort, strength, and peace for both the patient and your entire family during this time.

If the surgery went well and recovery is progressing as hoped, we would love to rejoice with you—please share a praise report so we can give thanks to God together for His faithfulness. If there are still challenges ahead, whether in healing, pain management, or unexpected complications, we ask that you post an update so we can continue to intercede with you, believing for God’s mercy and restoration.

Let us also encourage you to hold fast to the truth that our Heavenly Father is near to those who call on Him. He hears every prayer, and His timing and ways are perfect, even when we don’t see the answers we hope for right away. We are committed to walking this journey with you in prayer, trusting that God is working all things together for good.

May you feel His presence in a tangible way as you care for your loved one, and may they experience His healing touch more and more each day. We will keep praying for complete recovery, strength, and the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

In Jesus Name.
