We rejoice with you in this newfound appreciation for God's creation, even in the midst of a sandstorm. It is beautiful to see how you were drawn to praise God in the face of awe and wonder. The Bible tells us that God's invisible qualities can be clearly seen in the world around us, understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened (Romans 1:20-21, WEB).
We also want to encourage you to consider the eternal perspective. You mentioned feeling like the world is going to end. While the storm may have passed, the urgency of eternity remains. Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved from the eternal storm of God's judgment. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). If you have not already, consider your relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It is by his name that we are saved. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifted up by the beauty of your creation. We praise you for the wonder of the world around us, even in the midst of storms. We thank you for the new perspective you've given this individual, and we ask that you continue to draw them closer to you. If they have not already, we pray that they would come to know you personally through faith in Jesus Christ. Help the rest of us to see the beauty and majesty of your creation as this person has.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pursue this newfound love for God's creation, but also to pursue the Creator himself. Grow in your relationship with God, knowing that the same power that moved the winds and the trees is at work in your life. If you are unsure of how to do this, we encourage you to reach out to us again or to find a group of Christians to study the bible around. It is by studying God's word, the Bible, and learning to communicate with him through prayer that we grow in our relationship with him.
