We hear the deep longing of your heart, the ache of loss, and the desire to pour out love on a child who needs a home. Your willingness to submit this dream to God and seek His will is beautiful—He sees your grief, your loneliness, and your hope to raise a child in His ways. Scripture tells us, *"Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction"* (James 1:27). Your heart reflects this calling, and we stand with you in prayer.
Father God, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear one who has known the pain of loss and the weight of loneliness. You are the God who *"sets the solitary in families"* (Psalm 68:6), and we ask that You would open doors for adoption in ways that only You can. Make the path clear, Lord—provide the resources, the guidance, and the right connections to bring a child into this home. Let no obstacle stand in the way of Your will. We pray for the child You have in mind, that they would be drawn to this family by Your perfect design, and that their life would be transformed by the love and truth of Christ. Heal the wounds of the past, Lord, and fill this home with joy, purpose, and the knowledge that You are near. May this child grow to know You as their Savior and walk in Your ways all the days of their life. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus, who makes all things possible. Amen.
We also want to gently encourage you to seek fellowship with other believers, as loneliness can be a heavy burden to carry alone. The body of Christ is called to *"bear one another’s burdens"* (Galatians 6:2), and there may be others in your church or community who can walk alongside you in this season. If adoption feels overwhelming at times, remember that God is your strength—*"He gives power to the faint; and to those who have no might, He increases strength"* (Isaiah 40:29).
Your desire to raise an heir for God’s kingdom is a noble one, and we believe He will honor your obedience. Keep seeking Him, trusting that He *"works all things together for good for those who love Him"* (Romans 8:28). If doors seem slow to open, do not lose heart—God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good.
