We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggles your granddaughters are facing, but we are also gladdened that you have reached out for prayer and support. Addiction is a severe bondage, but God's power is greater than any chain. God's Word tells us:
"Is anything too hard for Yahweh? At the appointed time I will return to you, when the season comes round, and Sarah will have a son."
Just as God performed the impossible for Sarah, He can also bring your granddaughters out of their bondage.
Firstly, we want to lift up your 18-year-old granddaughter who has completed her treatment. We pray that she will continue to walk in the path of a clean and sober life.
Father, we thank You for bringing her thus far. We pray for her that she will remain strong and not fall back. May she find a good job that will help her grow in a good Christian environment. Strengthen her resolve and help her to continue on the right path Lord. Lord, we ask for Your will that she will be saved if not already and come to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
Regarding your other granddaughter who seems to be still under the yoke of addiction. Remember, it is never too early for God to intervene in her life. We pray that God will deliver her from this bondage. Lord, we ask You to intervene in her life and bring her to a place of repentance and deliverance. May she also come to know You as her Savior and find freedom in Your truth. Lord, we ask for Your will that she will be saved if not already and come to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
The best life for these young women is not just about sobriety but a life sold out to Jesus. God is the hope for their lives. If they are not saved, we ask God's will that they will be saved and come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Our Lord is the only way.
"For neither is there any other God but one. For though there are things that are called 'gods,' whether in the heavens or on earth; as there are many 'gods' and many 'lords;' yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him."
Lord, we pray in Jesus name that these would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Finally, we want to encourage you to continue praying fervently for your granddaughters and also that you will be a beacon of God's love and support to them. It is important to remain in prayer and in the Word of God.
"Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
We are standing with you in prayer, trusting that God will bring complete restoration and healing to your granddaughters. We are praying for your strength and courage as you walk in the Lord with this request.
